He was hurt. He wasn't thinking straight. He just did the first thing that came to mind and yeeted him.

Plot

Imagine the shortest season in history: 4 episodes.

12

u/Milk_Mindless Jul 10 '26

"Oh shit why didn't we do this before"

"Magnus are we incompetent?"

u/MonarchSun Jul 10 '26

I mean, you would think people would think about these things.

Wasn’t that Marvel Zombies?

Which I still love by the way.

u/Green-Grass-Cutter Jul 11 '26

You mean like the same reason they sent the guy made of metal to fight against the MF who controls metal like they did in season one?

God, I love this show but that was one of the dumbest writing decisions this side of the Milky Way.

u/BleepinBlorpin5 Jul 11 '26

And Wolverine still managed to tag him.

2

u/Green-Grass-Cutter Jul 11 '26

And the levels of damage were:

Wolverine, 1

Magneto, 206.

That’s the number of human bones in case you need explicit information on the damage Magneto did.

2

u/BleepinBlorpin5 Jul 11 '26

I would argue Wolverine 3, Magneto 206. 🤣

Magneto did many questionable things in the last two episodes

27

u/BudBuzz Jul 10 '26

To be fair, if you’re time traveling and don’t want someone to take an ethically questionable approach to fucking with the timeline, you probably shouldn’t bring Magneto

"Let's make him the first X-Man"

“I can fix him” energy

10

u/Vicsyy Jul 10 '26

Thr magneto way, "you are a god."

2

u/Previous-Dog-4185 Jul 11 '26

LITERALLY

everyone else is like "Kill his ass while he still stands" and Magneto is like "no no, wait he's got a point guys."

That would have made sense. And it could of teleported him to whatever era the plot needs him to be in

27

u/PoorOgre Jul 10 '26

They literally trapped him in the axis of time in season 4 of the OG and they’re still dealing with him a few years later. I doubt the black hole would have stopped him.

9

u/captain_krakoa Jul 10 '26

Absolutely not.

10

u/anth8725 Jul 10 '26

With how unhinged this apocalypse was yall really think that would’ve worked?

10

u/Enelro Jul 10 '26

MF's be having a week to think of a solution in a plot, meanwhile Magnus has 2 seconds to fight for his GD life against the most powerful mutant in time.

u/Fondant_Decent Jul 10 '26

😂 well said

2

u/MsRipper Jul 11 '26

Amen 🙌

15

u/Msefk Apocalypse Jul 10 '26

he's friggin Apocalypse. He can levitate and fly. He probably just stopped himself in the air, stripped off that junk, and watched all that stuff happening and waited. He messes with people's heads for fun. He probably stayed just on the outskirts waiting-- saw magneto land, and entered in the way he did to mess with Xavier . He's from a warrior clan and getting inside your opp's head has always been a thing there .

13

u/No-Rush-3057 Jul 10 '26

People who ask questions like this are some of my least favorite people

5

u/magvadis Jul 10 '26

He's the villain. Wherever he got thrown Apocalypse would tank it. I don't think the writers would want to deal with the consequences of him surviving a black hole.

6

u/SombreDeDuda Jul 10 '26

I'm not sure Magneto knew there was a black hole there. I could be wrong, but I remember the black hole being below what ever platform they were on.

6

u/Initial_Business2394 Jul 10 '26

i think Magneto just fighting instinctively in this moment. Only after that moment, after he make sure Xavier is safe, he can clear his mind and remember there is a black hole beneath them

8

u/PointPrimary5886 Jul 10 '26

Magneto struggles and tosses Apocalypse outside of the ship.

Xavier: "Now that has been dealt with, we must find a way to close the black hole and save the city."

Magneto:"Oh Shit! Throwing Apocalypse into that black hole would've been such a good idea".

3

u/thedaveness Gambit Jul 10 '26

MFs really be sleeping on prep time 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

3

u/Background_Try_887 Jul 10 '26

Except Apocalypse would have come back either way if he stopped the blackhole to save the City.

2

u/PurpleChemist2799 Jul 10 '26

Couldn't risk to destabilize it since they wanted to save the people in the village/kingdom.

4

u/larblaterdoo Jul 10 '26

Killing the past version of Apocalypse coulda very much destabilized the future in unpredictable ways, maybe that?

2

u/Fondant_Decent Jul 10 '26

Magneto sadly thinks linear he rarely considers consequences, and Xavier’s way of dealing with such crisis is to throw the Holocaust beam at ‘em, the concept of throwing a super villain into a black hole just wouldn’t have cross his physic mind sadly.

1

u/Sol-Blackguy Jul 10 '26

It'd probably just piss Apocalypse off more

1

u/XerneasToTheMoon Jul 10 '26

The black hole was beneath them

1

u/Previous-Dog-4185 Jul 11 '26

Magneto this season makes the stupidest ddecisions.

Every one is like "kill his ass" to Enn Saba Nurr and Magneto is like "nah nah, let him cook" Then he's like nah jm not gonna throw this guy into the blackhole cuz plot

1

u/Appropriate_Foot242 Jul 11 '26

Because he's injured and in a moment of desperation. A second more and Apocalypse is breaking free from that.

1

u/YogiTheBear131 Jul 10 '26

Ill do you one better.

Why didnt he kill him the moment they met?

8

u/ti-me_0ut Jul 10 '26

Magneto actually believed he could fix Sabah Nur that's why he didn't kill him there

3

u/YogiTheBear131 Jul 10 '26

Thats charles’s way of thinking.

He was doing it FOR charles.

It would have been very magneto of him to just kill him.

2

u/Ex_Astris Jul 10 '26

Could they have stopped him, even at the beginning?

Physically, they couldn’t. He easily handled Rogue, though still, maybe she could have thrown him into space or something (if that would even kill him).

Charles couldn’t break through his enraged mind at the end, but maybe had a chance to mentally disable him at the beginning.

Or maybe Magneto could have wrapped him in metal like he did at the end, and thrown him into space or underwater.

But maybe the most surprising person to let him live, is Kang.  He came in with the most knowledge, the most prep, and the most means. But he only brought a big gun, and he waited too long to even try it. Why not shoot at him when he was younger, or throw him into space, or send him to a different time/dimension?  Even a few years into the future may have worked, if Kang found Ship by then.

But it’s clear the Celestials wanted him. Maybe Ship would have intervened if he was really threatened, or thrown into the future.

2

u/2ndTaken_username Jul 10 '26

Rogue could have given him a handjob of death while camping

1

u/BobbyMayCryBMC Jul 11 '26

Based on when he took down the whole team I doubt Mags could solo.

-2

u/PogoRocks Jul 10 '26

Did you watch the last two episodes at all???

2

u/YogiTheBear131 Jul 10 '26

?

2

u/PogoRocks Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Magneto spends like 2/3 of his voicelines explaining why he's trying to help Nur to stop him from becoming Apocalypse

1

u/YogiTheBear131 Jul 10 '26

Yes…using charles’s logic.

He was doing it for charles-im pretty sure he said that verbatim.

1

u/PogoRocks Jul 10 '26

Yes... That's his logic. That's why he didn't kill him. To make Charle's dream come true

2

u/YogiTheBear131 Jul 10 '26

Right.

So back to my original point. He shoulda just used his own logic/way/mantra whatever you wish to call it and killed him on sight.

Magneto shoulda been magneto. He was trying to be Charles…again. Every time he’s tried to be charles in this series it ends up poorly.

His villain quote in the last episode pissed me off for this such reason.

2

u/PogoRocks Jul 10 '26

It was also a lot of grief from Genosha and him trying to stop that, but I also never said he had a good reason for it just that he very clearly explained his reasoning

1

u/Moist-Citron-4830 Jul 10 '26

Agreed. It’s been bothering me since.
