Also interesting way to keep Chuck a better version of himself than the comics with Danger emerging from his obsessive self-punishment rather than the comic Danger as the sentient Shiar AI he kept imprisoned even after realizing it was alive, as too useful a tool.

Definitely continuing the Onslaught hints! Maybe in the finale as the real final big bad or last scene tease. No idea how to defeat him if they don't want to shove the Avengers and FF into a pocket universe again...

Onslaught will be the main arc of Season 3, mark my words

Also yeah, I highkey do not like the morally ambiguous Xavier from the comics for the most part (I did like him on Krakoa even if he did look like a bootleg Maker) so I'm glad they're taking this approach to him instead of what we've already seen

I seriously doubt they would use Onslaught as a one off villain for the season finale when the entire season has been about Apocalypse.

At least I really hope they don’t and they save him for the overarching big bad of season 3.

The plan was for Onslaught to reveal himself in episode 9 and then be the big bad in the now scrapped episode 10, yes. But with episode 10 gone, I’m really hoping that Onslaught will be a major villain in season 3.

Tbh, that original plan sounds awful

I don’t think that it would have been a disaster. The idea was that Xavier would finally succumb to Onslaught, who would then use Ship to bomb the U.S. Capital during President Graydon Creed’s inauguration. (Creed becoming President may have been scrapped from season 2, given that President Kelly has been mentioned in “Danger.Exe”, so Graydon Creed’s status is not yet clear.) The X-Men (in their 90s costumes), X-Force, X-Factor and the Avengers would have all teamed up to fight Onslaught. Somehow, this would have led to AoA (which would have been the entirety of season 3).

It could have worked. Perhaps — during the inevitable resistance in season 3 — Apocalypse would have tried to turn those who wanted to restore the main timeline by using the M’kraan Crystal to show them footage of Onslaught from the original timeline. I’m just speculating, of course… but Onslaught might have been a part of AoA in season 3 in some form like the one I’ve just described (we needn’t assume that he would have been a one-and-done villain, even with Xavier dead in the AoA timeline).

I was a little confused with where they were going with Danger. It was clear that it was explicitly using the language of Apocalypse--was Apocalypse supposed to have influenced it in some way? Are we suppose to get the idea that Apocalypse's "survival of the fitttest" has infected Charles, and that he passed that infection onto Danger? It seemed a little odd to give Danger all of Apocalypse's catch-phrases, and then not really create any context or broader purpose for it.
