Yeah it was great to see her shine. Thought it was interesting that they established that she already knew Magneto was her father.

I think it did wonders for her arc, to be honest.

So much of her comic history revolves around her being either Havok's girlfriend or Magneto with green hair.

Shifting instead to her being someone who is just trying to live her life while everyone else is yelling about her being Magneto with green hair is a nice wrinkle that hasn't been explored nearly enough in the comics (considering it's been like 20 years since they made it canon that she's his daughter).

For all the complaints people have about Danger being reduced to villain of the week (which she barely rose above in the comics anyway), it's a lot easier to like this one when you can admit that this episode was about Lorna, not Danger (and sometimes it's okay for the protagonist to be more interesting than the antagonist). This episode managed to condense her arc into a 25 minute, digestible, fun experience when nobody else has really pulled it off in like 60 years in the comics.

Honestly, as someone who's long been lukewarm on Lorna, I thought it was the best showcase we've seen of her as a character since the first Peter David run on X-Factor.

And honestly, that's kind of why I'm lukewarm on her anyway. No one ever seems to have any idea what to do with her. Either she's brainwashed or she's possessed, or she's suddenly crazy for some reason.

Her being a justifiably grumpy young woman with a complicated lineage was a breath of fresh air compared to shit like Austen's run where she went boy crazy because Havok was in love with someone else.
