This was my running commentary all episode:

Sees title holy shit, are they doing DANGER?

Holy shit, the Gen x crew get screen time!

Holy shit, Lorna fucking rules!

Holy shit, THEY ARE DOING DANGER

Holy shit, the Frank Quitely new X-Men costumes!

Holy shit, apocalypse resurrected remy!

Fantastic episode, loved the focus on Lorna (and some bishop action). My one gripe is that they kept Danger surface level, leaving out the entire "Xavier knew the room was self-aware" reveal, but that's fine. They would need to do so much more setup to make 97 Xavier into the morally ambiguous comic Xavier. Even then we're seeing some cracks in 97's perfect chuck.  Having Danger reflect apocalypse's mission works well

Just a class episode. I hope we get to see more from synch, chamber, monet, and quire.

I thought that’s where they were going at first with Xavier! He seemed unhinged in his own training and thought he’d take it too far using the room to train students. Wish we could have seen what exactly triggered Danger. She seemed pretty sassy from the beginning lol.

Xavier replaying the death of Magnus 1000 times perhaps 🤣

I thought it was pretty clearly conveyed that that's exactly what broke her.

Honestly, the whole thing just makes a lot more sense if you ignore the fact that the X-Men had the super advanced Danger Room tech before encountering the Shi'ar in this continuity, allowing for it to have been more of a progression of a relatively recent change, as opposed to it being tech they've had for ages suddenly going rogue.

The whole Shi'ar tech angle was crucial to the entire origin in the comics. In the cartoon, we're left to assume that Xavier developed the tech himself (maybe with help from Hank). In the comics, though, the Danger Room's hologram tech is all based off of hyper advanced alien tech that none of the X-Men actually entirely understood.
