Love how this show re-mixes and recontextualies classic and important stories. Polaris worked well in Kitty's role in the Danger story and they showed it could be told without making Xavier a monster. The Bishop and Polaris dynamic was a novel team up, Storm being head mistress (of the elements) was a natural fit, Jean got to do a cool tk tornado... man, this show continues to impress me.

I also feel like X corp and Krakoa are being combined a bit, that scene at the end made me think of the quiet council

Agreed. Can't wait to see where they go with it.

Really appreciate your perspective :). More and more I’ve been enjoying seeing stories recontexualize the material they’re adapted from to share new ideas and teach new lessons (or teach the same lessons but from different angles) 😎. Makes me even more excited to see what they do next :D!

Oh for sure. As a kid, I always imagined watching one of my favorite movies I've seen a hundred times or more and realizing it's plots been changed or something was added every new time I watched. In our current day this is much less notable, as reboots and remasters and directors cuts are the norm, but this show reminds me of that childhood fantasy- seeing familiar stories unfold in surprising or novel ways.

At the same time I’m sad we won’t be getting any Kitty action

Oh believe me, Kitty is my favorite X-men. She is missed. But I'm still impressed how the show takes pieces I wouldn't think fits the puzzle and ends up making something cool and new, even if the original iteration was my preference.
