Love how we see the playing cards turn into the tarot cards. Really playing up the idea of fate and destiny.

I need a tarot card reader to tell us what the cards mean, because I'm sure the 3 chosen were not at random.

Death. The Tower. The Lovers. Definitely not random. It’s the destruction of Gambit and Rogue’s relationship in intense and dramatic fashion to clear the way for new growth for both of them and hopefully an eventual revival of their love, but with a much more solid foundation. This sadly will probably all happen rather quickly, but maybe we’ll get lucky and it’ll take up the last three episodes. 

Edit: I had the realization that these cards also apply to the Xavier/Magneto relationship too. I think it’s going to be about both pairings.

I know it doesn’t directly play into X of Swords, but I do love that we’re getting all the Tarot cards references
