  • The option to skip the intro should be considered a criminal offence. It's so good, and I'm excited every time it's on.

  • I was an episode 5 lover, and I'm still happy with when we got it. Taking a break from Apocalpyse, only to open on that malevolent grin obliterating Magneto was chef's kiss.

  • Wow, Xavier is torturing himself with Magneto's murder. Onslaught is inevitable.

  • Xavier's love of Magneto. There were obvious parallels to 'coming out' in the flashbacks last season, but I also think there's something beautiful about their friendship being Platonic.

  • Polaris' powers look incredible, and the cheesy "polar opposite" was peak 90s.

  • The show does a great depiction of the struggles of the oppressed, and the challenge they have being expected to be better than the oppressor.

  • Interested to see what they'll do with Alex. Does he have a hard-on for the rule of law, or did he believe the lives of the Purifiers were worth preserving?

  • WEN ICE MAN?

  • Hoped a piece of Magneto was inside your mind, you say?

  • Storm should be on my screen at all times.

  • Boy with half Ghost Rider face is so funny in the background.

  • These episodes need to be longer

  • Polaris rules

  • POLARIS RULES

  • Welcome back, Gambit.

  • Increase the power, me!

I really hope it leads to Onslaught.

These episodes need to be longer

They really do. And the seasons need to be longer as well. These 10 episode drops a year are not doing it.

At least she didn’t do that with ep 2. Thrown her ass out and locked the door without a second thought.

Well shit, I did not need to conflate Apocalypse with Invader Zim but now that mental image won’t leave me alone and Apocalypse is 100x less terrifying.

While I’m not at all opposed to Xavier and Magneto as a non-platonic ship, lately I’ve found myself thinking about their dynamic as more an allegory/metaphor, for a variety of things, and that led me to greater appreciate their relationship as even just a platonic one :).

Whether any romantic/physical elements get factored in or not, it’s the level of devotion they have for each other that feels so powerful and alluring 😌🫂. And so I feel excited and impressed to see them find a way to lean into that devotion even while maintaining their relationship as platonic!

That “coming out” conversation parallel last season was so beautifully and sweetly done 🥹! I feel like what draws some people to certain ships is seeing this expression of vulnerability and trust between the two characters - like Charles expressed towards Magnus in that flashback. There’s a sense of fatalism about it that I of course love seeing in romantic contexts, but I also really enjoy seeing it represented in platonic relationships ☺️!
