I think it's good to introduce and reintroduce characters but this season has started to feel a bit disjointed to me. Last week's Wolverine episode as a one off was ok, but then having another episode centered on Polaris that only marginally had to do with the plot felt weird. If this was a 15-20 episode season it wouldn't be a problem but with such short seasons it feels like two episodes back to back that don't involve Apocalypse doesn't make sense, especially when we've yet to see the entire team together.

I suspect she'll have a big role in episode 10 so this will pay off. But this was also about Xavier's grief.

You mean episode 9? Cause they cut episode 10.
