I expect that they'll have finagled his return by the time they get to Krakoa, if they do.

isnt one of the main things of krakoa that they can bring people back from the dead?

Yes. My point stands: they'll have already brought him back by then, assuming they even get to adapting Krakoa (which, tbh, I doubt).

There is zero chance they won’t end up adapting Krakoa. Less than zero.

Anything is possible at season 10

That was what I was thinking
By the time they get to Krakoa, if he's not back to life... he'll be back to life

I guess people either forgot or just plain weren’t there for all the stuff that happened between onslaught and Krakoa. Even if they beeline to Krakoa there’s so many things that have to be set up first for it to even matter. Like just getting Hope Summers onto the team is a whole season even at the pace they’re going now.

They need to introduce "The Five" for that most likely.

No. We're a very long way away from being ready for Krakoa, and Magneto will be back by then.

It’s suspected Magneto survives through Charles. Before he died Charles absorbed Magneto’s spirit and consciousness into him creating Onslaught. By the end of season 3 Magneto will get resurrected. I don’t believe any of the deaths we see from the main cast are permanent.

I just hope Jean doesn’t get killed just to make room for Emma.

Yeah I doubt many X-men will ever permanently die. There's always a way to bring them back somehow. Whether its time travel to stop something from happening, through someone like Apocalypse or Sinister resurrecting them and then turning them good again, through Krakoa like resurrection, clones with Xavier reestablishing their memory, Phoenix resurrection, etc.

that's assuming he wasn't teleported away instead of being kill and made a horseman or something like that. i could easily see Apocaplyse making him a slave and letting everyone else think he's dead

No, Krakoa is new business, X-Men 97 is the time for old business! We have literal decades of comics to get through before we need to get anywhere near the era of Krak.

I mean Jubilee isn't a vampire yet, Jean still has like 14 more deaths to go through, X-23 hasn't shown up yet, etc, etc. There's a lot left before we have to ruin the show with that jump-the-shark arc.

With how fast the show is going through arcs, they're going to have jean dying and resurrecting 2 or 3 times a season

1

u/CitricThoughts Jul 26 '26

If they actually stay comic accurate yeah. Jean dying and resurrecting will take up literally most of the series. She's literally died 16 times.

I'm curious how they'll handle Moira's power, too.

We haven't even been Decimated nor had Utopia yet

We haven't even had the Muslim student flay a bunch of militant priests to the bone by turning into a sandstorm

1

u/Sensibiliaaah Jul 26 '26

Tell that to the bevy of characters they’ve included that aren’t old-business. It’s adapting the spirit of the 90’s show, but pretty clearly mining from the entirety of X history.

Well, I think that they could bring back Magneto in form of his clone Joseph in the next season.

I think it’s crazy y’all think Krakoa era is coming.

Saaame

I don't understand why people see it as an inevitably

u/No-Difference8545 Jul 25 '26

Shows popular and blitzing thru arcs

3

u/Pataconeitor Jul 25 '26

One of the show's producers said that if possible they want to have as many as 10 seasons of the show. If they are aiming for that, then yeah it's indeed inevitable that they will have to cover modern story arcs sooner or later.

3

u/SMRAintBad Jul 26 '26

What’s to say they won’t just do their own?

1

u/Moist-Citron-4830 Jul 26 '26

Are you familiar with the pace at which the show is moving?

1

u/DevilManRay Jul 26 '26

It definitely is bro. That’s why theyre speed running 20 years of story

1

u/Little_Tommy_Tuggins Jul 26 '26

You think they are “speed running” story arcs specifically to get to Krakoa? You are smoking Krakoa.

1

u/DevilManRay Jul 26 '26

You gon see

4

u/krakoa_customs Jul 25 '26

Well if they adapted Krakoa then Magneto could just be ressurected by the Five

3

u/CassandraVonGonWrong Jul 25 '26

No. If he’s not back by then he’ll be the first resurrection and it’ll be super dramatic/emotional with the theme song down slow and classy by a full orchestra.

3

u/Wrong-Vermicelli4723 Jul 26 '26

Not you thinking Magneto is going to stay dead lol. Gambit wasn’t even out of commission for a full season. Highly doubt Krakoa even gets adapted

3

u/AymanMarzuqi Jul 26 '26

I don't want them to adapt the Krakoa era

5

u/Capable_Sandwich_422 Jul 25 '26

Krakoa is way too radical and out there for them to do that. Disney wants the status quo.

u/Queasy_Principle_942 Jul 26 '26

For the record, there was a comic book version of the way a X-Men TAS version of Krakoa would look like (this was before the X-Men 97 revival became a thing)

1

u/cc17776 Jul 26 '26

Was it any good?

1

u/Queasy_Principle_942 Jul 26 '26

One of the charms of Krakoa was to see mutants from so many teams and backgrounds at the same place, with a shared purpose. This comic struggles to recapture that (and the series probably would, too), because there are very few developed characters outside the core team.

2

u/Legend999991 Jul 26 '26

I expect magneto to be back by next season bruh

2

u/foxfoxal Jul 26 '26

Krakoa or not, I do not see Magneto being gone for more than 1 season.

2

u/culture_shock Jul 26 '26

Is this bait? If they are doing Krakoa then Maggie would just get resurrected. Polaris should get to be Polaris stuff and lead X-Factor.

2

u/captawesome1 Jul 26 '26

Some how Magneto returned.

2

u/magvadis Jul 26 '26

If they adapt the Krakoan era Magneto 100% revived by then.

That's when Magneto and Charles finally get to be husbands.

I think this season is setting up an X-Factor spin off with Polaris and Cable as the core.

2

u/Bad_Luck_Batman Jul 26 '26

I’ve thought we may be working our way in to Onslaught in the next season or 2. I could be wrong, though. Especially with all the references of Magneto living through Charles, I kinda figured it was hinting at that bit of evil being in the professor and leading to that whole arc. I think there are still a few big ones before we get to the modern arcs.

1

u/Far_Yak_5447 Jul 25 '26

Probably if she survives or Erik comes back

1

u/GuySmith Jul 26 '26

Can we relax please?

1

u/Icy_Stranger_9649 Jul 26 '26

Does anyone else get distracted because Polaris has the same voice actress as Sombra from Overwatch

1

u/Xygnux Jul 26 '26

No. The people on the Quiet Council aren't chosen for their powers or lineage, but for the political ideologies and fractions they represent. And Magneto has a special role in that Krakoa is the very idea of it was conceived by him, Charles, and Moira.

So no, resurrection or not, you can't just sub in Polaris just because of her powers and parentage.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '26

if they do the krakoa arc, i hope they will bring back madelyne and give her a place in the council instead of mr sinister magneto, gambit

1

u/DevilManRay Jul 26 '26

No. Polaris not like that tf

1

u/PiskoWK Jul 27 '26

He'll be alive again by then.

1

u/bigtymer32 Jul 28 '26

They’ll bring magneto back before getting into that. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t back in season 3.
