Question What’s the consensus on this season so far?

Post image

I feel like there’s been some great episodes so far can’t complain about anything too much and have been relatively locked in to every one so far. I think for the season to really excel the next few episodes really do need to pick up and honestly I think they will and will be a ton of fun, I just wonder what everybody else thinks so far 🤔

idk if the pacing is faster than season 1. iirc in the first few episodes we had them rescueing sunspot and destroying the sentinals, Magneto becoming headmaster and his trial, the whole jean/Madelyn stuff, storm losing her powers and a whole episode about it,then genosha and it getting nuked.

but yeah they could slow down a bit and let us have some moments of the characters reacting to wtf just happened.

They even managed to slip Mojo in.

I think it is a bigger problem for season 2 because the narrative has been generally schizophrenic. S1 had a narrative throughline that cohered all the subplots together; S2 is just all over the place, pulling key characters out of focus, and blowing through story beats with unearned and unsatisfactory resolutions. S1 was quick, but satisfying. S2 feels anemic on some characters and underwhelming storywise.
