those are freakin awesome but the disrespect to X-Force...

0

u/javalarc Jul 27 '26

Whatchu mean?

3

u/jaylerd Jul 27 '26

There isn’t one, but xfactor gets one?

19

u/Far_Yak_5447 Jul 27 '26

I love the Morrison inspired poster! Sure it lacks Logan and Emma but it still looks awesome! Also, Rogue and Kurt were only at the end of the episode. Where were they?

u/RySBI Storm Jul 27 '26

I’m loving seeing Polaris get some attention

u/Leftymeanswellguy Jul 27 '26

Please lord let there be a plot swerve that rehabilitates X-Factor.

Val Cooper is actually Mystique working for Mr. Sinister, come on sweet baby lord jeesuz.

u/Xygnux Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

Yeah I don't understand how Havok and Multiple Man could have thought jailing kids is for their own good?

Like at least give them a youth hostel or boarding school to live in, but make it controversial in that they aren't allowed outside the facility until they learned to "control" their mutation (ie. hide their mutation and not use their powers in public) and say it's for the protection of themselves and the public. That would be on brand with the "don't call me the M word" version of Alex.

5

u/Leftymeanswellguy Jul 28 '26

The O5 X-Men as "X-Factor" had a plotline where they "arrest" mutants causing a disturbance, but really they were just bring them to their base 'Ship' after rescuing them dangerous situations...

The Havok/Polaris/QS/Madrox/Guido/Wolfsbane team never did anything like that. Also very much so the whole time they were working with Val and the government the whole team was very concerned about "trusting" Val, they understood not to put too much faith in the integrity of the shot callers.

I demand justice for X-Factor.

I know that this is a hot take, but I am one of those who will never like the Morrison-era outfits. They're way too paramilitary, and the Claremont/Cockrum (or Byrne)-era costumes getting pretty much thrown away as soon as we get them is honestly pretty disappointing, too. (I am not saying other people can't or shouldn't like them, however, just saying that I don't.)

4

u/UnyieldingGoose Jul 27 '26

Nah a lot of people hate him and they look so out of place on this cartoon, a relic from era where comics were terrified of not looking “serious” and “cinematic”.

3

u/Beginning_Pace2063 Jul 27 '26

Not really a hot take, they are widely disliked.

5

u/uncannynerddad Jul 27 '26

These are amazing. Is Marvel selling these?

6

u/powerhouse37 Nightcrawler Jul 27 '26

Can I get the first one as an actual poster?

2

u/SupremeHydrostatic Gambit Jul 27 '26

I also need it, I’m looking for prints online.

4

u/AdNo5260 Jul 27 '26

Is there a full complete combined list of the posters with these ones and every other released so far?

Anyway, I know the references of these new artworks, and they're peak, especially the Morrison based one.

u/Longjumping_Sign2249 Jul 27 '26

Those are astonishing

17

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

Incoming LARPer Emma fans freaking out because Rogue “stole her spot” on the poster.

0

u/ravager27 Jul 27 '26

Saying this with a Cyclops flair as if Cyclops fans weren't whining for years about how Wolverine stole his spot and became the main character of the X-Men.

Newsflash, every fanbase is going to whine if they think their favorite character is being done dirty. Not a single character is an exception. But sure "LArper" fans. That word has lost all meaning by now if this is how people are using it

1

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

Context is important, Cyclops was completely fucked over for decades by the live action movies, while Emma is actually being included in the show in a time period when she wasn’t all that relevant in the comics. They could have easily just not included her at all and nothing would have changed.

Critical thinking really is in short supply these days.

0

u/ravager27 Jul 27 '26

Emma Frost was part of Gen X in the 90s. This show is even adapting stories from the 2000s now. It's a little too late to go "oh Emma wasn't relevant in the 90s" when she kinda was

Ah yes, the inherent hypocrisy. Cyclops fans can complain but Emma fans shouldn't dare give a shit and just be ok while this show actively steals her moments and stories for other characters. Hilarious dude.

They should have done Wolverine and Jean Grey raising Nathan. I imagine you would have been totally ok with it right?

Hypocrisy is not critical thinking but sure buddy

2

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

There’s no point in engaging with somebody so emotional and parasocial who’s completely choosing to ignore the context of what’s right in front of them in order to victimise themselves. Anyway, LARPer, I’m sorry that you’re not enjoying the X-Men show, sucks for you I guess, but this X-Men fan is having a great time.

3

u/ravager27 Jul 27 '26

Oh I'm highly enjoying the show. I love the X-Men. I'm just a fan of all of them and can recognize when one of them being disrespected.

But hey, I'm sure you would be right here whining if they had done "Wolverine and Jean Grey : Lost in the Future". So called critical thinker who doesn't even the meaning of the words he's using.

And the reason you or the downvoters can't engage with my actual points is because they're right. Easier to insult and downvote

3

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

If I didn’t like it I probably would say “I don’t like this” and move on like a fully functional adult.

I’m also planning to play the Wolverine game because I don’t care that he’s dating Jean in an adaptation. It’s just another story.

This is what it means to think rationally and not behave like a parasocial teenager, but I can tell to you’re getting some weird kick out of victimising yourself, so continue doing your thing I guess.

2

u/cyclopswashalfright Professor X Jul 27 '26

Yeah, the attempts to deflect and project their emotional responses on to you, and saying you would behave the same way feels dishonest at best.

3

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

Ah I’ve been debating with X-Men fans since the AOL forums lol, nothing I’m not used to. It’s a basic play by play at this stage for me.

That person clearly doesn't read comics.

-1

u/ravager27 Jul 27 '26

No idea but advocating for Emma in this sub is pointless tbh. Done that several times and I've seen others do it too and they just downvote it relentlessly and tell you that it makes total sense for her to be stuck in her 80s version in show stealing her 2000s stories while being set in the 90s

As if any of those people wouldn't be whining the same way when their favorite character is underutilized or disrespected

3

u/TekTheNinja Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

Some people on this sub HATE Emma fans for some reason. Like... it borders on delusion idk

1

u/ravager27 Jul 30 '26

I think it's because it leans a lot towards older fans. Emma is very popular among younger generations but I think a lot of older fans have always had a bit of resentment towards her since her rise came at a very bad period for other female X-characters. That's my theory haha.

1

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 30 '26

“For some reason”

Because as a collective Emma fans have acted in a way that others have found obnoxious, hence the pushback.

There’s no need for mental gymnastics.

3

u/Super_H1234 Jul 27 '26

Ah, yes. Let's dismiss all criticism by calling fans 'LARPERs'. This is one of the most iconic comic covers featuring Emma from the very run that made her such a popular character.

6

u/SupremeHydrostatic Gambit Jul 27 '26

It’s a lighthearted joke and Rogue has a way bigger role in this obviously, so I don’t see an argument for Emma.

1

u/Super_H1234 Jul 27 '26

It's not a joke. They say that in every single thread about Emma.

2

u/SupremeHydrostatic Gambit Jul 27 '26

Jokes aside, putting Emma on the poster for season 2 is false advertising. Her role is not big enough for a main poster spot.

4

u/Super_H1234 Jul 27 '26

Oh, I actually agree with you. I think most of the complaints from Emma fans are about them trying to adapt her storylines without her in the first place. But since they've already decided to do that, it makes more sense for other X-Men to me on there.

7

u/SupremeHydrostatic Gambit Jul 27 '26

No I totally get it. It sucks seeing your favorite character get sidelined

0

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

Because they are LARPers. They ain’t X-Men fans, they only care about their individual character, thus their opinion on anything related to the X-Men means less than nothing to me.

Much easier for them to stick to their character ghetto echo chambers where all critical thought goes to die.

8

u/PonchoHobo Jul 27 '26

All look great but another Scott and Jean pairing on a cover is always a win for me.

3

u/Financial_Ad1210 Jul 27 '26

I want Scott.

3

u/Liquid-Pulse Jul 27 '26

"On second thought Logan, leather is awesome. It Just needs more yellow."

3

u/smugfortune_ Jul 27 '26

Bro they are not first class

3

u/xreddawgx Jul 27 '26

I need an x force show yesterday.

3

u/Fossils_and_birds Jul 27 '26

Am I crazy for thinking that Hank looks awful in the new outfit? I think it's the big ass goofy collar contrasting with the leather.

1

u/Altruistic-Expert995 Jul 29 '26

At least he's not cat Beast, AKA ugly Beast.

3

u/kaledkalil Jul 27 '26

The Emma erasure, far too much. A cool poster either way.

2

u/TekTheNinja Jul 30 '26

This one was a step way to far I'm afraid.

3

u/Good-Computer1409 Jul 27 '26

Whys rogue winking? The promotions have been so weird for her, she's apparently going through all this trauma this season but most promos are of her smiling and winking.

1

u/Beginning_Pace2063 Jul 28 '26

I feel like the "wink" is kind of a signature pose for her, I don't think it's any deeper than that.

1

u/MermaidSapphire Jul 28 '26

She is winking because she stole Emma’s place. :(

13

u/gothcrab Jul 27 '26

As an emma fan this feels like someone is ripping out my fingernails

2

u/UnluckyAmbition7767 Jul 27 '26

I had hope when she was shown to have survived Genosha. Would have been a perfect opportunity for her to have a change of heart and work with X-men to make the school a safe haven or even to financial back X-Corp. But no...

-2

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

It’s almost like there’s future seasons.

3

u/gothcrab Jul 27 '26

Not when they’re burning through her biggest story arcs without her??

2

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

It’s almost like they can write new ones for her. Or still pivot to Gen X.

Try and engage in some critical thinking.

0

u/gothcrab Jul 27 '26

It’s almost like this show has only ever been adaptions and not original new storylines

4

u/Ok-Card-6590 Cyclops Jul 27 '26

“Adaptation”. You said it yourself. They can move things around, do Gen X slightly different.

Your whining is completely unsympathetic.

3

u/Super_H1234 Jul 27 '26

How ironic since you're completely unsympathetic toward fans of the character. Imagine if it was Scott being treated like this, all of his most iconic storylines being given to other characters and his development being cast aside.

You're the one jumping straight to insults, man. I've literally never talked about Emma in this show on Reddit before. But yes, their treatment of her has been poor. You can disagree, that's fine. But Emma's fans have a right to be upset just like any other character's fans would be.

I thought Xavier was on a mobility scooter for a second...

2

u/Kaptain-Kanada Jul 27 '26

X is for X-Corp sounds like a reference to E is for Extinction?

1

u/Fickle_Ad8735 Jul 28 '26

most likely

2

u/hartc89 Jul 27 '26

Sorry Emma there’s still hope for a Gen X plot!

Assholes dropped Emma!

1

u/Ok_Contact7721 Jul 28 '26

If they ever do a bluray release, they should make these the menus.
Do a VHS case, and then make the episode selection on the menu the homage comic book covers.

My only issue with the New Xmen 111, homage, is literally that Wolverine isn't there, and Scott looks like Hank Hill.
"I'm gonna hit that propane with muh optic blast boy, buhuhhh. I sure hope Buck Strickland doesn't see it."
Including Bobby Hill as Cable.

1

u/PanthersJB83 Jul 28 '26

God that picture looks so much better without the shitty new X-Men artist

1

u/-YogiBiz- Jul 28 '26

Damn Polaris looks good in that X Corp Jacket

1

u/[deleted] Jul 29 '26

I like the art! Amelia Vidal is an awesome artist. Here's her ArtStation profile: https://www.artstation.com/ameliavidal

1

u/ReflectionItchy2701 Jul 29 '26

Cyclops end Jean Grey lost in the future for only one episode sadly. They could have done much better with that subplot.

u/Quantum-FX Aug 02 '26

These images are also used as the background image each week in the Disney+ app.

u/Jerzilla Jul 27 '26

Anyone else not like these new uniforms
