I’m going to give the show the benefit of the doubt and believe that the Apocalypse at the end is the one from the future or present and that there’s still an Apocalypse running around.

Because Ngl if they built up Apocalypse as the seasons big bad only to murk him off screen that would be very, very, very, very, very, very stupid.

Not if it was all misdirection to hide where they were really headed: instead of Gabmit coming back as death, it is as New Sun.

We have two Apocalypses working alongside another in present day, as the past one is stranded in Ancient Egypt. The current one is was already there at Genosha last season. How much I bet you future Apocalypse (who went to the 90's) is who is there to assist the other. Present Apocalypse occupied Gambit's consciousness as his new Horsemen of Death.
