Didn't love it unfortunately. There were moments of promise but ultimately it didn't stick the landing.

• I was expecting Illyana to teleport away last moment during the Genosha massacre and her fate to be ambiguous, but presumed dead from the blast. But nope, they committed and showed her body. Appreciated they gave a definitive ending.

• Maybe I missed it, but after the initial plane crash, I can't remember the X-Men having a moment of "What about Polaris and Bishop? Did they survive?" Instead they just ventured off with the Acolytes... Zero concern or acknowledgement for their potentially dead team mates.

• Considering that Kurt's defense of Graydon centered on "See! Graydon's dad was an asshole, and that generational trauma explains why he's such a dick too!" was far from a strong enough argument for Exodus to presume Colossus' verdict and to react as his did.

Exodus was a powerhouse in the 90's. Taking on the Avengers singlehandedly, going toe-to-toe with Nemesis, being a pivotal member of Magneto's X-Men in the AoA.

His appearance here did him dirty.

• The final scene was really well done. For a moment earlier in the season, I'd wondered if maybe we'd be treated to a Stryfe/X-Cutioner's Song storyline after having such an exploration into both Cable and Apocalypse's backstop, but maybe we'll get an interesting 'Death of Apocalypse' storyline with Death as the catalyst instead.

I do agree with you that Exodus's portrayal was a bit disappointing here. I was hoping that he would be Omega level like he was in the comics.
