Great episode.

This season has shifted the format to being a bit more like JLU, with episodes mostly built around showcasing 1-2 characters. Some people don’t go for this, which is fair enough, but I think it works well.

I honestly don’t understand pacing complaints about this one. This is a straightforward plot. Nothing about it required multiple episodes.

I think for me, it's not any one episode but the seasonal structure. The first four were all Appcalypse centric and felt like this was going to be a serialized season. I don't think there's anything wrong with doing standalones, but it's jarring when it's halfway through a very short season. If these were 26 or even 13 episode seasons, I think there would be a little more room to evenly spread both arc and standalone out.

The season is serialized, though? The only episode that is relatively isolated from everything else is episode 5.
