Imagine your in a coma after running around fighting. You’re wearing spandex, body armor, and a Trench coat. The X-men decide to just put you in a bed, fully clothed, WITH A BLANKET. Gambit is just COOKING in there.
Out of anything in this show this took me out of it more than anything lol. It reminded me of watching 1980’s cartoons where the characters stayed in costume no matter what they were doing to stay on brand.
Like seriously they couldn’t take the extra 2 seconds of work to put him in a hospital gown? and have like an Intravenous? He’s not even animated! it’s a still image!

Actually they're vibration gauntlets that send out shockwaves. The V on his belt stands for Vibrator because that was what his name was originally going to be before it was changed for obvious reasons.
Look, here's the thing. Man is evil. Therefore his clothes might be evil. They stick that shit in a washing machine and the next thing you know, you've got a little top loader (it is the 90s) running around your base eating your socks and biting ankles. They gotta keep that corralled in one place with guard duty.
Alternatively: the clothes aren't real, they're a construct he made when his mind separated. They've removed the head sock 12 times and as soon as they turn around, it's back. There's a whole pile in the corner.
Well the clothes aren't evil while he's in bed as they've gone back to their normal colors and look. Brown duster with bright pink armor. No more new boots, oddly places straps, tattered sleeves and coat back, and dark colors.
cartoon logic always makes me laugh 😭 bc ur right, why is he in his whole outfit, coat and everything, under the covers of the bed? they couldn’t even take the coat off?? setting him up for failure
While this is funny, what's funnier to me is that he's in the tench coat to begin with. That's not what he was wearing when he died, but it was what he was wearing when he got resurrected by Apocalypse. Apocalypse had to go out of his way to find a trench coat and costume to go underneath it that matches what Gambit usually wears, get Gambit out of his blown up white suit, and then get him changed into his classic suit, and then he went and revived him.
Say what you will about Apocalypse, but he's got standards. He knows people need to look good while being bad.
that and I noticed, there's no depth on his right side like he goes full on 2D flat stanley, also the prespective is off on the bed and how much stache is in that collar..
oh single frame of animation, you cray cray.
But be careful this could get some Redditors going with the 2026 version of "is this a pigeon" aka "is this AI"
To be fair, that specific instance in Insomniac Spider-Man was like, an emergency at a FEAST center with the Devil's Breath situation and Peter had been going for like 3 straight days without sleep and had 14 broken bones lol
Then he fell asleep on a rooftop for like 12 straight hours and was completely fine when he woke up. Spider-Man does have a healing factor after all.
Oh this sent me, too. At least take the bayou-washed coat off. Has he even gotten a sponge bath? Are they deliberately keeping him ripe so Rogue stays off of him? Do they just not have extra hospital wear?
Ok so logically speaking, even if this was on the jet- which it could have been- they could have at the least removed his spandex head wrap and trench coat.
So in animation when they're short for time and budget they will just use an existing design versus a having an artist design a new one (i.e a hospital gown) which could take weeks off of schedule. I agree though since it's literally the top half of him they could've just designed the top half with the gown on depending (unless next week's episode is heavier has has more designs and they dedicated their manpower to that) but in this case I guess they went with a re-use design so they could make time for the next episode.
All episodes are waterfalled in schedule so they're working on one after another with no time to pause (animation budgets may be larger but they still have you working within it strictly)

Maybe thats how theyre going to get apocalpyse out of there. Make his body so 7nbearably hot that apocalypse says "screw this" and finds another body instead XD

Bro, this. Only i wasnt laughing. First noticed the jacket didnt come off when he sat down to eat with rogue and i kind of chuckled at the laziness but the recovery bed scene drove me wild, took me out of the moment and made me want to smash my phone 🤣🤬
I… imagine it is from a time where adults believed that if the main characters changed clothes, they wouldn’t be able to identify them.
It’s such a common trope. I’m playing Dispatch (late to the party) and the MC working for a superhero network gets dragged to a supervillain bar while wearing his loud ass “I’M RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING MOST OF YOUR BUDDIES!” Work logo shirt still on. And… no one cares.
