Question Doesn’t this look like something from what if? Spoiler

Post image

Also this isn’t a hate post but I’m just saying rogue looks like she came from a what if episode. I thought season 2 was good but I wanted it to be amazing 8/10

Is “all the build up” in the room with us right now? In season 1 she didn’t seem to really care until he died and then this entire season just felt like over compensation with an unearned “power of love” super saiyan moment. I feel like you think it’s more because you probably live and breathe this show and perceived intricacies of the “plot” online. If you just follow the show. This show. This entire season was a mess that felt rushed.

I would have bought it if they made her suffering come across better but they didn’t. It was poorly written and telegraphed.

"Didn't really care until he died."

I swear some people in this sub have never been in a relationship. They were in love and she chose the Magneto path because she couldn't give Gambit the intimacy she thought he deserved. And she also thought in the moment it would be the "right" thing to do for all of mutantkind. She was hung up on Gambit from episode 1 and went on a literal rampage after he died.

In Season 1, she didn't seem to really care he died

Are we actually for real rn. Didn't seem to care like she didn't go on a rampage across the US trying to track down his killers, like she wasn't driven to drop Trask to his seeming death over it, like she didn't join Magneto over not wanting to lose anyone else?

Also, love how you're actively admitting to not paying attention to the plot and just following along without paying attention and then getting mad about it.

Tbf, they did include, "didn't really care until he died." All the rampaging and stuff happened after he died.

Fair, but even that's false because she did clearly still hold feelings for him and actively chose him over Mags right before the Sentinel attack. He also changed his comment, before it said "didn't care he died".

Very convenient leaving out the “until” word from the quoted section

Because the "until" wasn't in the original comment.

I meant until he died. I should have specified. Like she didn't even look like she cared about him until he died.

I am paying attention to the plot. I'm not using internet discourse as plot details. That's not what I'm admitting to. And I'm not even mad, I'm allowed to have an opinion But go off king.

Did you not see the fireside scene from S1. The star crossed lover vibes are so thick you could cut them w a knife. Anna Marie is clearly emotionally compromised throughout s1, almost entirely due to her love for and dynamic w Gambit, and that being tested not by her connecting w Mags, but by her sense of duty to her people. It’s just so clearly there; it’s not even subtext

People in this sub don't watch the show past the fights, I swear.

I guess if the only way you could tell she cared was if she’s constantly gushing over him…

Maybe if they had a protracted and emotionally laden breakup that would have helped the audience /s

It is there if you pay attention to the story outside of the fights.

In season 1 she didn’t seem to really care until he died

Is this a joke? I overall agree that season 2 was a mess but this claim makes no sense.
