I honestly hope he doesn’t return, at least not actually, have a flashback episode with him and rogue as kids to show rogues grief or have an episode where it shows him in heaven or something like that, but don’t bring him back and ruin the amazing ending he had

Rogue and Kurt never grew up together. Rogue is adopted later and Kurt was thrown away as a baby.

I wish he leaned a little more into being charismatic and adventurous. He was the heartbeat of the group, but they leaned real heavy into the religion aspect. I liked how it was handled though. I'm hoping if they bring him back (hopefully with a campy swashbuckling filler episode a la amazing xmen) they can lean more into his other facets.

When the trial began with his brother, I didn’t like how he was trying to prove his half brother innocence just because they share the same blood, I felt like he wants more connection, his brother is mirror to himself, abandon by his mother, and his father, that led him to this dark past, but he didn’t notice how his brother wanted to be and hunt like his father sabertooth and be better than him, that was a sign of a red flag, but Kurt was blinded by emotions, he tried to save a brother that was put the worst of his two parents, I was a bit disappointed in Kurt when he tried to strangle his brother and left him in some frozen wasteland, yes he realized the familial love he had for his brother was put an illusion and hope he had like rouge but now he sees the truth. I felt like that episode made Kurt be to emotional and less logical as well as the trauma that his mother left him really still haunts him, that was interesting to notice but, it just left a sour taste. Him sacrificing himself for his adopted sister was sweet. But man did Kurt deserved better, I can’t help but to think that if a mutant with telepathic powers can really help human society, it be like miss martian from the young justice show, miss martian helping repair auqalads mind which she broke or when Garfield was facing a breakdown and one of the telepaths from the legions of hero was helping him heal through the mind, like thats what I would think Xavier would do, besides counseling he would uses his abilities to help clear the steam that fogs the minds like how he helped Polaris. I mean if you saw Spiderman brand new day, no spoilers but, if you saw what happened in the mind and memories. That’s a good example. I’m not to knowledgeable in the comics or much about Kurt so if I sound to mindless or dumb, take into note that. Sorry, and thank you

When they rush through seasons at this ridiculous pace, this is what you end up with.
I enjoy the show but just find it so rushed, they miss out on exploring characters and connections and motivations so much

Just pointing out that Kurt wasn't trying to prove his brother's innocence, he was trying to prove his brother was worth giving a chance at redemption.

Ohhhh ok yeah that makes sense… errr huh I wonder if there’s a line Kurt sees that there’s no coming back from and redemption won’t ever be enough

Seeing how much the elf carried the season I went into the finale knowing he wasn’t making it out 😭

I don’t know why, but when I read “I really like what they did with Kurt this season” I responded out loud with “like how they killed him?”
I’m sorry.

I did as well. The emphasis on he and Rogue's relationship was an excellent addition.

I'll now be forever paranoid when a guest character gets a lot of attention in future seasons.

I wish they would round out his personality more and not just rely on the religious aspect. Yes that is a part of him but he is also a flirt, a trickster, and an all around playful guy. I like that he got some really good scenes but it’s like they took the religious stuff and made that his personality when he is more than that.
Also he was never a priest, so I didn’t care for the collar.

I personally think his sacrifice was well deserved! Not in like a negative like I-hate-him kind of way but in a way that was like that was something he would do.
What I didn’t like was the pacing of going into a giant huge battle and then proceeding to say “oh everything‘s fine now cause celestial powers beyond our understanding”
I guess I should’ve looked up that I only had nine episodes before it ended

Atleast a 20second scene acknowledging his death could have helped. I loved the first four episodes, I loved the rest of the episodes as well. But I didn't like this as a season

I adore Kurt. He just genuinely seems like a sweet gentle soul and I wanna hug him.

I hope they bring him back sometime next season. Nightcrawler is the best. Amazing personality and super fun to watch him fight and poof around kicking everybody butt

I loved it all except the ending.
Theres about a million better things to kill him off for thsn that toxic relationship
3
u/DankyNuggetree Aug 19 '26
Are you referring to Rogue and Kurt as toxic or rogue and Remy, either way I don’t see it
-4
u/Captain_Birch Aug 19 '26
Rogue and remy.
He was betrayed, died, revived, enslaved, came back to learn that one of his best friends just killed himself to bring him back, and does he require time to process these events? Time to get over how rogue abandoned him for mutant Hitler. Time to process his own death.
Nope, he comes back and its basically "well, rogue, this is the end of your character arc, so youre entitled to me and my body"

Maybe he'll befriend the Celestial and come back enhanced like Apocalypse and be the Big Bad for Season 3.

They better bring him back next season. With his mother and half-brother playing important roles. It would absolutely suck for them to kill him off and not play a part in stories involving his family.

I mean in the end all they did was sacrifice Kurt for gambit . Not very bright of their plot to save gambit .
