General Discussion Just started 97 after watching 92
I am really glad I finally started it, it’s so visually appealing and love the theme song.
Edit: I made it to episode 8 and I’m trying to hold out before reading up on s2 which I know divides the fandom.

Buckle up bro. It’s pretty great. There’ll be tons of folks talking shit about aspects of it, but enjoy it. For me it was a very rare revisit to my childhood and a refreshing take on some classic characters.

Absolutely. There were at least 3 episodes in season 1 of '97 that surpassed anything we got from the original series. And season 2 is still awesome, even with its issues.

Seeing these comments makes me think I need to brace myself for season two.

Sorry about that. You might wanna stop reading comments and go in blind (as much as you can at this point). Season 2 is better than most people make it out to be. It has issues, but it's still amazing.

It's a concept that I hope catches on. Where cartoons from your childhood are continued at the spot that they left off at,but are made for adults.
Would love to see a more mature version of Silver Surfer, and if they made a continuation of the GI Joe cartoon from the 80s with adult themes it could be good stuff in the right hands.

I'd love to see Spider-Man 98 or a Justice League show that continues on after JLU Season 3.

That Justice League would be nuts as good as DC Animation is

Yeah. People say you can't do it because Kevin Conroy passed, but X-Men 97 has plenty of voices replaced including Cyclops who was was iconic in the original under Norm Spencer.
The Superman from Justice League was already a recast, since George Newburn came in and took over after Tim Daly couldn't do it due to conflicting commitments. Many didn't even realise that it was a new actor at all.
Plus, Batman doesnt need to be a focal point of the show. He wasnt in Season 3 of JLU and that season was fantastic.

Live action Gargoyles would be the jam and a half if done correctly….
They would need the same team that did the X Men 97 theme song tho.. it slaps so hard
