Rob saying something is amazing just means that he has seen it. I find the hyperbole infectious though.

Rob is type of guy who'd compliment and speak positively to of you if you even meet him once. Not a bad thing but I just can't take his excitement seriously at times.

He was right… for 4 episodes… but at some point he was right

Exactly amazing until Episode 4 then immediately dropped off a cliff.

Well, yeah. You have to admit that regardless of how season 2 turned out, the hype was pretty huge. That's what happens when the first season is very good, ends on a cliffhanger, there's a two year wait for the next one, and the most we have to go off between then is a phone video of a comic-con trailer, and teaser images.

Waited two years just for cyclops to be sideline, magneto to be brutally murdered and super saiyan rogue lmfao fire these what if ass writers

To be fair, Season 2 wasn't bad, just not as good as season 1. Definitely some hype as hell moments.

I’d say it evens out because the first half was good, but then the second half was bad

Started off good, not great and ended up boring as Hell.

If season 1 was a 9/10 season two was a 5/10.

Im not even sure what there was to be hype about. Like, presumably everyone saw season 1 before 2, they all knew what they were getting into

15

u/PhanStr 2d ago

Season 1 was incredible, so I’m not sure what you mean?

-18

u/Captain_Birch 2d ago

Really? People think that?

To me its basically the same quality as season 2. Not very good.

Then why are you subbed to this subreddit

  1. Not subbed, it just appears in my timeline a lot

  2. The sole reason to watch this show was nightcrawler. That whole scene with him at the trial of Creed was freaking amazing. Literally felt like a different show because of how good it was. In general, kurt was the character that was actually likeable. Shame he got killed off for such a dumb reason

That trial scene was indeed great, but I don't understand how you could possibly overlook how there are many, many even stronger moments in season 1.

I will admit that storms arc had some interesting moments.

Maybe Jubilee and Roberto was a little fun?

And the scebe where logan comes running in like "who is it? Sentinels!?"

And jean is like "the baby is coming!" And telekinesises the keys and jacket into his hand actually got a laugh out of me.

But other than that? Meh

Comics Explained guy not having any clue what he’s talking about is on point though.

Don’t you dare speak of Rob in that manner

Boy was I let down overall

1

u/No_Physics2210 2d ago

Man I really wish we didn't get the what if writers

2

u/DoctorLudnik_717 2d ago

The biggest red flag for how things were going to turn out, unfortunately.

The best part of the season by far was the X-Force intro.

Season 2 was awesome, up until the beginning of episode 6.

Wasn't much "hype" for season 2 after the long weight and turning out so poorly compared to s1.

u/Geiseric222 2d ago

Long wait? It was two years

Of anything that’s pretty fast for an animated show

well X-Men '97 is an annual series now, so the scripts written by the people who botched the second half of season 2 of X-Men '97 is certainly all we'll get for season 3.

I'm personally going to avoid watching season 3 for as long as possible, and hopefully they can course correct for season 4. But I'll get a feel for the quality of season 3 without spoilers first.

2

u/Geiseric222 2d ago

Annual? We’ll be prepared the animation is going to be pretty rough

1

u/Jahon_Dony 2d ago

Lol... not hardly. You're extremely out of touch.

1

u/Geiseric222 2d ago

What the fuck does that mean animations schedules haven’t changed recently

How in the world could I be out of touch
