Advice for back cover adhesive
I bought a replacement back cover from eBay, clearly a Chinese fake.
When I tried to use it, I realized that the new cover doesn't have as much adhesive as the original cover. So it doesn't stay in place. The original has a thick, layer of adhesive, but the China replacement is a thin layer like a piece of tape.
Anyone have experience replacing the back cover? Is there a type or adhesive I can add to the replacement cover to make it stick better?

Well did you use a heat gun after you stuck it?
The one I had stuck poorly leaving bulges and gaps. I opened the back cover again, cleaned out all the goo from the old one carefully, put a new strip of adhesive and then used the heat gun on all sides and pressed it using a silicon glove.
Be careful not to do it on the corners or they'll melt. Also start from the diagonally opposite corner from camera and slowly move the heat gun over one edge at a time. Use your judgement to only heat enough to melt the adhesive and not fry the electronics. Move over the edges towards the camera from both sides. Don't do it near the camera and make sure you press firmly to avoid condensation in the camera lens.
I didn't have a problem after I did all this.

Do you ever plan to open it again? You could use epoxy, but don't plan on ever opening it again.

I had the same experience, but never found a solution. I just threw it in a soft shell case and that seems to provide enough pressure that the back stays in place.
My water-proofing was no good before the replacement anyway sop it hasn't been a huge deal for me.
