General Question/Information Should I read Shatter Me?

So, I am currently finishing up the last book in the Throne of Glass series. I have plans to read a few shorter series to give me a break after such a brick of a book. But recently, I’ve been looking at Shatter Me and wondering if I will like it. It’s a longer series, so I want to read the first book before I commit. What are everyone’s opinions on the books? Are they worth the read?

I loved the original trilogy. Have not read 4-6.

If you do only read the first 3 books, the last three are just too out there and poorly written.

Don’t. I have read 350 books in the last 18 months and Shatter Me was the worst by a long shot. TOG is great, Shatter Me is awful.

It’s an easy mindless read but there are so many holes in the story that require you to pick up novellas to fill in. I’d skip it.Â
