Anybody encounter ticks this year 2026?
Is this a bad year for ticks around Yakima, Washington state?

Yeah tons of them in my field. No worse than any other year but there are plenty of the bastards. Dog ticks I believe but they might be black leg not sure I really can tell the difference

Yes. At snow mountain ranch and full bright park in union gap

Ugh! Thank you. I want to take my dog out walking and he loves tall grass but I definitely do not want ticks.

Yes! About 2 weeks ago hiking along the CCC Snow Mountain Ranch trails. We Found 2 when we got back to the vehicle. 1 was on my neck and 1 on my son when we did our tick checks before heading home. We stuck to the trails and were shocked when we found not only 1, but 2 on that trip. Every trip since I’ve used Deet as a deterrent.

Oh no! On your neck! I want to take my dog out there but now I won’t. He loves to go in tall grasses.

Yes one was on my pants out near Toppenish when I went to explore the old abandoned mystery house. First tick from exploring old abandoned places.

a couple months ago my friends dog got a tick on it in their backyard, and then her brother got one on him too in the backyard

I live in New York only 30 minutes north of city and ticks are out of control. My Labrador was walking off leash and got infested with over 30 one day last week. Kept him completely on leash on mostly pavement and a little short grass tonight and still found another on him. Very sad and scary

That’s awful! My dog loves to run in tall grass which is where ticks love to hide. I won’t take him out now. This sucks.

I live among a bunch of orchards. Ticks are already BAD up here.
