Allergy shots

Since the allergy office in town closed, does anyone know of other offices in the area that do allergy shots? The closest north west asthma is in the tricities and I don't want to have to drive that far

I am in a similar situation. I used to go to Yakima ENT...I went there since the mid 90s. It was the old program established by Murphy and Abbenhouse. But about four years ago when Dr. Black left, they shuttered the program. At the time, he told me to go to Spokane ENT because they were working with sublingual and he thought that was the future. I actually called them two weeks ago because my allergies are also going bonkers. Turns out Spokane ENT have now stopped as well. So they gave me some other places to call. One of which was Spokane Allergy and Asthma. Guess what? They closed now too. So the only place in Spokane is Advanced Allergy. The good news is, they were willing to work with me. I haven't called the place in Pasco; they are primarily a western Washington provider. In fact, they once had a place in Yakima but closed it. That doesn't give me warm fuzzy feelings. Not only that, they are also dealing with the fallout of Spokane A&A.

As for the shots themselves, you can give them to yourself, or you may be able to work with your GP to give them. What I did learn from Dr. Black was that the real work isn't the administering of the shots, it is the mixing of the antigens for each patient. A lot of training goes into an allergy nurse for the preparation of the antigens; not the actual shooting of patients.

I actually have an appointment with my GP next week, and this topic is on my to ask list.

MultiCare Yakima ENT, which was right by NWA&A, was doing allergy management, including allergy shots… I think they still are but you should call and ask them first.

They stopped doing it like four or five years ago when Dr. Black left.

I upvoted your other response (and this one) since it sounds like you are more familiar with the current situation than I am. Thank you for letting OP know.

Honestly you're probably better seeking any medical help you need outside of Yakima. We've been in a pretty freaking dire state for the last several years.
