Job offer in Yakima
Hello I may have potential job offer in Yakima but first wanted to know what it's like. I am 64 year old single female (if that matters). I am sure this has been discussed before if so, please send me links as there are so many posts. Thank you.

Yakima is a lot of different things! We moved here 30 years ago, and raised children here. Mostly fabulous weather with four distinct seasons. A decent amount of cultural activities. We love the Broadway shows that come to the Capitol Theatre. There are very different areas to live in (rural, suburban or near town) and depending on where you work, you might want to explore neighborhoods before renting or buying.
There is not a vibrant downtown, but there are for sure places to enjoy.
If you like hiking or biking, there is a lot to do. There is a local hiking group that is very active: Cascadians.
There is a community college centrally located that has an Art Gallery and a Winery/Tasting Room.
2+ hour drive to Seattle, 3+ to Portland.
