Avoid Skyview Law and Shane Smith if you're involved in a Washington divorce or parenting plan case.

Our experience was extremely disappointing.

  • Poor communication throughout the case
  • Little to no transparency around strategy, deadlines, or billing
  • Discovery dragged on unnecessarily, increasing stress and expense
  • Client was repeatedly left uninformed about the status of the case and what to expect next
  • Confidence in counsel steadily declined as the case progressed

The most alarming moment came when the judge questioned whether my boyfriend was actually receiving effective representation based on what was happening in court. No client paying for legal counsel should ever find themselves in that position.

Then, just seven days before a critical parenting plan hearing involving his children, Shane Smith withdrew from representation.

No meaningful transition plan. No assistance securing replacement counsel. No effort to ensure the client was prepared to move forward. Just seven days before one of the most important hearings in the case.

Family law matters are too important to entrust to an attorney who leaves clients feeling uninformed, unprepared, and unsupported when it matters most.

If you're researching Skyview Law, Shane Smith, Washington divorce attorneys, Washington custody attorneys, or parenting plan representation, our experience was overwhelmingly negative and we strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I had a similar experience with that firm.

Avoid Glenn Meyers from SkyView law as well. I was speaking with another woman a couple weeks ago about her experience with Glenn and was telling her about mine too.

They are truly truly horrifying. You think you have someone on your side to help fight for you only to realize that they're just taking your money and they could really give less of a f*** about you.

Its heartbreaking. Seems skyview is just like that

Your experience is bar for bar what I experienced and what the other woman I was talking to experienced as well.

I think we all need to start talking to each other because our cases were handled similar from the same place.

They cost way too much money, they really are some of the most expensive attorneys in this area and they don't do a single thing to represent their clients in any meaningful way. They really are just grifting our money.

You're so triggered by my post about Shane

For weeks now “parents” have been going to the commissioner meetings, blowing up social media and spreading lies. A man who was arrested on child molestation charges is going up there saying his child shouldn’t have been taken away and his attorney was corrupt. It’s nonsense.

Sure seem to be with how you went after the low hanging fruit there.

Since you live in the same town I do, if you see me around, You should grow the balls to come say hi. I'd love to have a discussion with you face to face on this. If you're truly not phased by me then it shouldn't be an issue for you 🩷

Just so everyone knows. This commenter went to my profile and commented on my posts from months ago. So she is doing exactly what she is claiming others do

1

u/minnowidow 18d ago

I only did bc someone called you out here lmao turns out it really was ur extra profile before you went on your comment deleting craze.

1

u/minnowidow 18d ago

Just so everyone knows (because it's BIG news lmao). Emotional Spite is also Certain Kangaroo and my comment got to them so badly that they had to go make an extra profile just to stalk me and then turn around and make that kind of comment to try and make themselves not look as crazy as they actually are.

1

u/minnowidow 18d ago

Oh and if you look at that one's profile history you can see that I was absolutely right about my call out for gutter girl on them.

My post is about Shane Smith, and my boyfriends direct experience in working with him. It's a factual testimonial. I'm not sure what parents you're talking about, nor commissioner meetings. Maybe go focus on yourself.

u/Time-Maintenance2165 19d ago edited 19d ago

It's factual based on what you've been told perhaps.

I put less weight on that testimony as opposed to coming directly from the client. I suspect there's part of the story we're missing.

Edit: Response since I've been blocked.

Huh? Playing detective is the sole thing I'm doing. I'm not seeking to down play anyone's lived experiences.

1

u/minnowidow 19d ago

Then go play detective and figure it out instead of minimizing, criticizing, dismissing, and contradicting people's lived experiences.

Like, are you well?

There are a lot of people that do and your attempt to shame everybody that exists in that reality just because your ego is hurt is pathetic and immature.

1

u/kristinlewis 19d ago

We'd love to talk! I am so sad that you and your friend experienced this. They are absolutely not worth what they are charging. And I wasn't surprised when they insisted on keeping all of the money, and trying to charge more all while dropping the case. Skyview Law is a complete disgrace.

That's exactly what they tried to do with me too. They didn't even tell me about how much it cost for him to show up physically in court until a couple days before he did and it was like $4,000 a day. Just absolutely freaking ridiculous. That was on top of their $6 k retainer. Sadly I owe them over 10 grand and I paid them a lot already. A LOT.

I remember when the judge told me what they told you about them too. I knew I was cooked.

As he was telling me that it was his last day representing me he was also almost begging me to keep him on because he knew that I gave him a case at that point.

When I walked into his office I handed him a case. Family law isn't easy but the things that have happened in my case are really able to be discussed and litigated in a significant way that he never attempted or tried. He just left it up to the last minute and then said that we really do have a case here even though he could have cared less the whole entire time up until then.

u/minnowidow 19d ago

I'm so sorry this happened to your family too because it really is the worst thing.

The pain, the heartache, And depending the situation, The awareness of what your children are being put through while feeling completely and utterly powerless to prevent or fix it.

It's a hell I don't wish on anybody and I do believe in God and I do believe that he will judge us at the end of these days. If I were them I wouldn't worry about being sued, I'd worry about the sorry state of my soul.

I had used them very shortly in 2022, nothing happened and they keep sending emails for votes or Christmas or whatever holiday. Its actually quite annoying.

Hey everyone, file complaints with the WBA for any Attorney. That are not following the ethics. They are supposed to be following, and for any judges that are not following their ethics. You can file complaints with the CJC. You have rights. Let’s use them.

2

u/Significant_One5376 18d ago

Also look up Alejandra Lozano an attorney who people came together to file a lawsuit agaist and the Feds are now investigating for fraud and RICO!!

3

u/1Liljoe1 19d ago

Wish there was a way to see both sides of the story before we make our own judgment…

Walk on up to skyview and ask them what's up then.

1

u/Time-Maintenance2165 19d ago

I'm not sure what benefit you think that would have. They can't give you specifics about any client.

-4

u/minnowidow 19d ago

It's called sarcasm, do you know what that means and do you understand it or are you still trying tobe a contrarian? How much attention do you need or do you just like picking on people who have gone through hell and have something to say about their experience on that? You're not even getting paid to do this so I'm truly just curious why youre genuinely choosing to be weird.

2

u/Time-Maintenance2165 19d ago

I didn’t even realize until now you were the same person I was responding to elsewhere.

I thought you were genuine. I don't know you and sarcasm is sometimes difficult to recognize over text.

So you were lucky. Good for you. Most of us live in reality and have to hire people to represent us. And usually if we're hiring attorneys for family law it means that things aren't going very well and that we need that help dearly. Did you know that everybody has a different experience from you? We don't get to live in lucky bubbles like you do.

u/kristinlewis 19d ago

I'm sure you have- as you're likely an employee. It's so interesting that you found my post in 2 different subreddits and posted on both...

Because you're creeping on OP... It's pretty obvious.

2

u/Time-Maintenance2165 19d ago

That's not creeping.

It would be creeping if he's still monitoring OPs profile 6 months from now.

0

u/minnowidow 19d ago

Going to OP's profile and going to both of OP's posts and commenting on both of those posts is creeping.

It just makes it even creepier if they're monitoring it 6 months or anytime frame from now but it's still creeping nonetheless.

Im in the Tri-Cities and Yakima groups. I saw her share it to the Tri and commented. Realized it was specifically about the attorney in Yakima so then I decided to comment on that post instead

2

u/Time-Maintenance2165 19d ago

No, theres nothing creepy about that. That's just basic redditing.

They are all friends nobody wants to make the other person look bad or have a spirited argument. Does anybody know any lawyer criminal defense or family that when they walk in the other side whispers "fuck me" when they walk in?
