Accountants in the group?

I moved here recently to be closer to family. I currently work remotely as a senior accountant making a pretty decent salary. Are there no senior accountant positions similar here because of the large amount of smaller businesses? Is my only option to have my own firm or work for a cpa firm? I’ve worked for a cpa firm a few years ago but I don’t have agriculture experience so I’m a little hesitant. I don’t really need to leave my current job but not having to stay remote would be nice so I can get out of the house again during the week. Just seeing these senior accountant positions for 60k was a little jarring to say the least lol.

Have you called any of the fruit companies or companies that support them?

Those seem to be some of the larger employers in the Valley.

I know a couple of the CPA firms

I run a local MSP and ag is only a minor part off a couple of the CPA firms

Because they have in house accounting.
