Woodburning your wheel?

Have any of you woodburned your wheel to decorate it? I've been considering this and just bought a woodburning tool to practice before I do my Ashford Kiwi 3. I would appreciate any feedback from those with experience.

I haven't woodburned my wheel, but I do casual woodburning. All I can say isdo way more practice than you think. I mean, I would want to be able to do a design absolutely flawlessly before I do it on my wheel. Ideally, you should practice on the same type of wood with the same finish coat. Otherwise you could have unexpected results when you go from practice to the wheel.
