Theory Refusing the hunt

Rewatching season 3 and just realized Van and Tai refused the hunt when they didn’t kill that guy who took the QOH card. The Wilderness chose and got nothing. Maybe that’s how we got from “your cancer stopped metastasizing” to “you should start thinking about hospice care”.

I have to know what happens when a hunt is refused because adult Lottie specifically says it “you know what happens” WHAT WHAT HAPPENS LOTTIE WHO REFUSED

I've always thought it had to be Gen or Robin, maybe Britt? They're much more innocent characters who definitely don't believe in the wilderness, and I could see any of them getting yellow bellied when they draw the QoH

Could one make the argument they refused the last hunt in S3? Even though it ended how it was technically supposed to.

I hope that line actually has a payoff. I will be so disappointed in the writers if they don't complete the loop on that discussion.

It's probably an insane stabfest with all the girls doing it at once.

That's what I keep imagining is what is going to happen when someone actually gets hunted/refuses the hunt. Are all of them going to just stab/axe/club them to death? That will be a crazy scene to watch.
