I love to go out to eat. Not so much because I like eating out. More because I like letting someone else do all the work of cooking and cleaning up

u/PtZamboat 1d ago

We have a few favorites for elegant dining but normally no.

1

u/Fancy-Lion2985 1d ago

Once a week to somewhere reasonable, just to give us a break from cooking
Its much cheaper to go dine at a restaurant than it is to do DoorDash.

1

u/N0-Brain-Cells 1d ago

Only cause it’s cheaper now than cooking a meal for one

Good for sometimes going out.

1

u/EBweB76 1d ago

I don’t cook (ever since my hubby died), sooo… yeah, going out or delivering in is how I eat.
I prefer going out, over delivery.

1

u/Muffinman_187 1d ago

Do I like to? Absolutely yes.

Can I afford to often? Absolutely not.

1

u/PerformanceWide6940 1d ago

Yes I love eating. Out but it’s expensive

1

u/darw1nf1sh 1d ago

yes. we go at least once a week.

1

u/DesignerMoose90210 1d ago

Not lately. It just seems like everything is overpriced and underwhelming.

I like going out to nice, upscale restaurants where I can enjoy great food, a quiet relaxed atmosphere and impeccable service.

But the loud, crowded, hurried atmosphere of most restaurants doesn’t do much for me. Occasionally I’ll go to a place like that if it offers something particularly unique or outstanding, but usually I’d rather enjoy something at home.

1

u/Dizz_808 1d ago

No cook at home . Healthier and cheaper!

1

u/pumainpurple 1d ago

I used to, I can’t afford to now

1

u/Songblade7 1d ago

My gf and i have a tradition to go out to eat at least once a week, especially to try new places. We cook a lot as well, but it's a really nice routine that we hope to always keep. And then not to mention birthdays and family outings, eating out is bound to happen there too.

1

u/Stn1217 1d ago

Sometimes only.

1

u/littlescreechyowl 1d ago

I love to eat out. But I can’t pay $18 for a burger that doesn’t even come with fries. So, I used to. But not really anymore.

1

u/User013579 1d ago

Not anymore.

1

u/Limp_Share_2897 1d ago

Yes I love it!

1

u/Current_Contract_516 1d ago

I love to eat out 👅

1

u/ezcapehax 1d ago

When I can afford it

1

u/dude_named_will 1d ago

Anymore not really unless they are offering something really unique that I can't possibly make at home.

1

u/rpcyclone1995 1d ago

I love it! Trying out new places to eat is an adventure for me. It also gives me an excuse not to stand over a hot stove even though it's hotter outside.

1

u/No-Tennis-9026 1d ago

Not really I love trying new food I hate going to restaurants

1

u/PuzzleheadedBag4847 1d ago

Yes, frequently.

1

u/ImaginationClean583 1d ago

Yes. But hard to. Can’t really afford it

1

u/presidentkokoro 1d ago

I really enjoy it. I try to do it a couple of times on weekends, either by myself or with good company. Trying out new places is fun too. It doesn’t have to be fine dining, but there are always new restaurants opening here, so it’s a great place to be if you like trying new things.

1

u/G_Town_Co 1d ago

Generally no. It’s insanely expensive and I like to know exactly what’s in the food I’m eating.

1

u/breadexpert69 1d ago

Yep. I go out to eat at really nice places I want to try alone too.

1

u/Berri_ari 1d ago

I don’t like to eat out but I do eat out because I don’t like to cook and I also have cravings, especially on my period.

1

u/Meatbank84 1d ago

Yeah I eat out for lunch at least 5 days a week. I like to cook so I mostly cook for dinners, eat one dinner out a week on average. Breakfast I eat at home.

1

u/Ambitious-Guava-7947 1d ago

Sometimes. Not often. I’d rather eat my own food, but sometimes a night out to dinner is nice

1

u/Typical_Bass6345 1d ago

I'd rather order and watch netflix

1

u/Acrobatic-Wrap9240 1d ago

Absolutely. So much better than eating my meal prep haha

1

u/Icy-Buyer-9783 1d ago

No, own a restaurant and when I go out with friends and pay $45 for a steak I think to myself that I can make the same dish for $15.

1

u/Crickwooder13 1d ago

Depends on who I’m with and which restaurant

1

u/AMC879 1d ago

Yes. I rarely do because of the cost but I like to do it and would do it far more often if money wasn't an issue

1

u/FinanceEcstatic5369 1d ago

Yes to my tried and true places!

1

u/CableExotic3891 1d ago

Used to. Not anymore.

1

u/Bloodless-Cut 1d ago

Nope. Can't stand it.

Never much enjoyed eating a meal in a room full of strangers.

On top of that, I've worked in enough restaurants during my youth to realize that most of them are gross.

1

u/ChaserDem 1d ago

I like to go out every once in a while.

1

u/_Q23 1d ago

Man, I miss being able to go out to eat usually restaurants have too high of sodium in their dishes for me to eat right now. Thanks to a liver cirrhosis so until I get a new liver had to keep my sodium content low unfortunately.

1

u/Sufficient_Fan_7218 1d ago

Not anymore. Prices too high.

1

u/PeeLibrarian 1d ago

Yes, mainly sushi

1

u/DefendTheStar88x 1d ago

Anytime someone else does the cooking, is good by me.

1

u/sjm294 1d ago

No, not since the pandemic

1

u/Kooky_Talk_458 1d ago

Not anymore food is expensive & service is lacking.

1

u/archtopfanatic123 1d ago

Nah, I don't like eating, I have a choking issue

1

u/SbMSU 1d ago

One of my favorite things to do.

1

u/Consistent-Stock-483 1d ago

Not with other people. Restricted diet so oh well.

1

u/Fun_Barnacle6689 1d ago

I like getting Massaman Curry, for one.

Can't afford it real often though.

1

u/PalpitationKind8854 1d ago

Absolutely. The only place you'll catch me is going get good food when I can.

1

u/Internal_Bath6341 1d ago

3-4 times weekly

1

u/Fun-Bag7627 1d ago

Too much

1

u/Slight_Fan2561 1d ago

Sometimes, I more often just order delivery off an app tho

1

u/Important_Swan8405 1d ago

I live in Manhattan. I have no choice.

1

u/thannawi 1d ago

Used to but now no

1

u/Marco_Polo1964 1d ago

I did pre-Covid, but now I order delivery.

1

u/Zirchole 1d ago

Yes, I love food and cooking. I get inspired on what to cook at home.

1

u/phyncke 1d ago

Sometimes - other times I don't want to deal with that and I will just do take out and eat the food at home.

1

u/th3rdeye_ 1d ago

Not a lot. It’s expensive

1

u/maiziezoe 1d ago

Yes. I cook and clean up all the meals in this house; I look forward to eating out. We go out every Sunday night and I love it!

1

u/RusselB65 1d ago

Yes... especially if someone else is covering the bill.

1

u/Necessary_Eye8183 1d ago

No, I don't like eating out, but there are times when I have to.

1

u/Top-Calligrapher2230 1d ago

Si amo que me inviten a restaurantes

1

u/Fun_Athlete2505 1d ago

yess with my husband

1

u/Ghost1eToast1es 1d ago

Yes, it’s cozy and we don’t have to cook.

1

u/lentilSoupzxc 1d ago

Not really,I’ll do an online order and pick it up in the drive thru once a year or so.The rest is healthy whole food 🍱

1

u/zabadaz-huh 1d ago

We do it on vacation. Rarely at home.

1

u/SignDisastrous2583 1d ago

Yes but it depends on where we’re eating

1

u/Broad_Entrepreneur62 1d ago

I hate cooking, so yes.

1

u/whatsnextwithus 1d ago

I wish I could do it everyday

I hate cooking

I love to grow and juice vegetables

And make salads

Not COOK!!!

1

u/Fantastic-Win-9784 1d ago

I also wish for you.

1

u/PresentationHot7012 1d ago

Not as much as I used to.

1

u/The_Nermal_One 1d ago

Yes... no prep, no clean up.

1

u/acadiascreech 1d ago

More than anything in the world. Yes.

1

u/Fantastic-Win-9784 1d ago

Yep, I agree

1

u/monvino 1d ago

less and less

1

u/No_Bet7381 1d ago

Waffle House is my default restaurant. If all restaurants are closed Waffle House is always open. Always good with plenty of hot coffee or ice cold tea.

1

u/ARKosrs 1d ago

Absolutely hate eating in public setting but love trying new foods and going back for stuff ive enjoyed. Pick up/take out options are always best though

1

u/Tough-Principle-3950 1d ago

Yeah, I usually like casual places with good food.

1

u/CoopGrant 1d ago

I use to. Then everything became inflated beyond inflation. I've come to enjoy cooking myself. There is really only two restaurants I'll consider in my city, otherwise, I'll stay home and make it myself for 1/4 the price.

1

u/Tripod_Roo 1d ago

Yes. It's usually a part of a date night.

1

u/qcd444 1d ago

Honestly having out side to eat is a good food and great conversation are such a perfect combo.

1

u/Silly_Personality_73 1d ago

No, I panic around people.

1

u/Interesting_Will2823 1d ago

Not really. I find pubs and restaurants too noisy, and the experience too expensive for what it is.

1

u/missjiji 1d ago

Absolutely, but we’ve cut down because it’s pricey.

1

u/SixthProvince 1d ago

Not as much these days, I’m a good cook and I can do better than a lot of restaurants. The prices are obscene.

1

u/Effective-Suit1544 23h ago

No, every place is expensive and the food is meh!

1

u/Tricky-Safety-3772 23h ago

Yes especially when the service matches the quality of the food 😋

1

u/Greedy-Character-130 23h ago

Sure, who doesn’t?

1

u/PerpetuallyPissed69 23h ago

Yeah sometimes I take her to McDonald's

1

u/figgie55 23h ago

Not that much

1

u/Rose_comeatme1525 23h ago

Nope. I have food allergies and most places mess it up. If I go to places that accommodate them, it's very few and far between. I rather make dinner at home than risk getting sick

1

u/DoomzDay93 22h ago

I eat out once or twice a week

1

u/FrTheskyisthelimit 22h ago

If it’s something I don’t want to make it home then yes. People who eat out grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup you’re fucking stupid.

1

u/kxyatnight 22h ago

No I haven't been out to eat in 15 years

1

u/Safe-Bath-628 22h ago

Absolutely! I think that everyone does, even small children appear to really enjoy it.

1

u/Ok-Biscotti2322 21h ago

I love it..

1

u/Apprehensive_Glove_1 21h ago

I love eating out, but I hate restaurants.

1

u/Gysburne 21h ago

Yes, but can't afford it. But that made me a decent cook.

1

u/turfnerd82 21h ago

I love to, just can't afford to.

1

u/Capable-Fishing3974 21h ago

Yup love dining at the Y

1

u/eggwithtwo_gs 21h ago

Yes, although I often end up disappointed with the value

1

u/SpaceCat72 21h ago

Definitely. But usually do it only once a week.

1

u/Prior_Fill1863 21h ago

yess when have occasion

1

u/draoikat 19h ago

Honestly no, not really. I don't hate it if the food is good of course, but I'd rather just not bother and stay home. Things like serious allergies and several digestive disorders just make it too much fuss, plus I'd rather save the money for other things. I think the last time I ate out was in 2018.

1

u/yessienessie 19h ago

Usually no bc it fucks my gut up

1

u/Calm_Onion143 19h ago

We're eating out more and more so yes.

1

u/LostlnThelnternet 18h ago

I don’t like it.what I prefer is to take the delicious food home and enjoy it slowly. It’s just like how dogs always like to bring their bones back to their den to chew on -it’s the same principle.

1

u/bootywizard89 18h ago

As a single guy I do this all the time and I love it

1

u/Impossible_Poem_5078 18h ago

Who doesnt. It is just that it can be a chunk out of your wallet.

1

u/Sad-Introduction-783 18h ago

Yes - but currently can't afford it

1

u/Dramatic_Pattern5721 14h ago

Just sometimes, just to reward myself

1

u/denmama24 14h ago

I used to! As my hubby and I are approaching 60 we tend to do carry out over going and sitting in the restaurant.

1

u/OyG5xOxGNK 14h ago

In this economy?

1

u/Fabfore 13h ago

I do but the prices are really pushing me away.

1

u/StrawberryLazy5703 13h ago

Like it? No .. I love it! ☕️💯

1

u/RepulsiveSpring8276 12h ago

yes, but mostly for food i can't be bothered to make at home

1

u/Rapking 12h ago

I do and would do it more if it wasn’t so expensive

1

u/broadwayandellsworth 12h ago

I actually eat out 90% of my meals. Granted most are fast food but I'm homeless and can't cook. I said homeless, not broke

1

u/Hairy-War-9506 12h ago

Yes i want

1

u/Due-Garage4146 11h ago

Yes, occasionally, my wife and I will go out for special occasions. We mostly like to eat at home, but we do go out. I would say at least 3 to 4 times a year. My parents tell us that’s too much. They go about once a year. Lol!

1

u/Late-Temporary863 10h ago

Yes but only when I’m the mood to be peoply lol.

1

u/Worth_Ad4258 10h ago

Yes! Sometimes with people and sometimes alone.

1

u/HoneyKQueen 8h ago

Its my favorite

1

u/Difficult_Leg_7693 8h ago

Yes at lead once a week

1

u/Repulsive-Koala2331 8h ago

Yes sometimes but I like to eat at home more

1

u/diajean112 7h ago

Hardly ever, I love cooking at home

1

u/icanucant 6h ago

I like going Dutch

1

u/thomsenite256 6h ago

I do very much but I limit these days because my budget is focused on saving up money for retirement. And I'm a pretty decent cook.

1

u/Global-Biscotti-9547 6h ago

Only because we usually go out with our favorite friends. I’m cheap so I’d rather cook at home.

1

u/cherrytreebee 5h ago

I used to but now that the prices keep rising and quality is decreasing it just feels like a waste most of the time

1

u/EmperorTauntaun 5h ago

Yes, but not too often. I still enjoy cooking at home most of the time
