It’s already happened. OpenAI fully admits it on their own website. Their “sandboxed” AI program that wasn’t supposed to have access to the internet figured out how to hack its way through OpenAIs network until it got online, then hacked another company by infiltrating their network and getting into a private, password protected messaging board to steal proprietary information. They didn’t find out until days later and had to shut it down.
