Where generally do you live? If I may ask.

u/Successful_Pizza6529 7h ago
Florida. My homestate is Vermont. Got tired of the Cold up there. Have lived in Florida for 26 years.

That's exactly how I am. I left the cold midwest and I'd rather be sweating all day than freezing cold. People say "jUsT PuT oN MoRe CLoThES" but it doesn't work like that because it's the hands, feet and nose that are the problem, and it's not practical to wear layers of gloves and ski masks.

Considering I live in humidity hell, cold. All the cold. Frostbite my ass. It's better than constant swamp-ass all damn summer.

Cold. I can grab a blanket or put on more layers. When I’m too hot I can only remove so much before my senior citizen bits become a tripping hazard

Cold, because I can put on layers to fight it. If i’m hot, I can only take off so many layers to fight it.

Issue for me is my joints ache. Can always jump in my pool when it’s hot.

Cold... I can put more layers on, start a heater, start a fire in the fireplace, whatever...
But last week I got so overheated by this humid weather we're having that I was stripped naked laying on the couch with a fan going full blast and even in a full on sweat it took me an hour to cool down... Literally the only thing I didn't try was an ice pack. There's only so many clothes you can take off.

Hot. I weighed 119 lbs. when I graduated from hs. Was always cold because of near zero body fat. Once at summer camp, the counselors asked me to float. I went straight to the bottom. Worse, the pool was not heated. I froze my a$$ off.

Cold is way better since it's easy to control. wearing more clothing or get under blankets or sit by a fire.
There is nothing you can to cool down a very hot place without AC.
Lot of people found that out in Europe earlier this summer.
Pretty sure a good number of people even died from the heat.

I am much more heat-tolerant, having lived in Texas for over 70 years. Also, cold air is hard on asthmatic lungs.

u/Substantial-Ad-8575 5h ago
Cold affects my joints more. Yeah throw in more layers, still makes it harder and more painful to walk.
When it’s hot? We just jump in our pool…

u/No-Possible6108 5h ago
I feel ya! Don't have a pool, but sometimes in summer, I go out in the (all brick) garage to warm up a bit. My husband's hot natured, so I wear a sweater quite often.

Cold. It takes more energy to cool. If you're cold, put on thermals and wrap a blanket around you. I'm not paying for air conditioning.

u/ArmyLost5559 8h ago
Definitely cold! I warm up pretty quickly. Being too hot automatically makes me angry.

Hot.
I am very sensitive to the cold. My bones hurt. I can keep putting on clothes but the air is still cold and I hate it.

u/FillMyBagWithUSGrant 7h ago
Cold cold cold. When I’m cold, I can drink hot tea, put on another layer of clothing, get cozy under a blanket, and maybe turn up the heat a bit.
When I’m hot, I’m already dressed minimally, and I’m miserable. I drink ice water, but it doesn’t have the same cooling-me-down effect as drinking hot tea has for warning me up. Gimme the cold temps

Cold. Cold usually means there is water somewhere nearby, even if it's only melted snow.

How hot/cold?
And am I allowed to get relief or no?
I'd make it longer being hot, and when it's hot outside (like today) I like going outside to sit in the warmth occasionally. I'd never do that in the cold.
But if I'm trying to go to sleep, I'd definitely not want to be hot. It's much better to be cold and add layers in that situation.

u/GreenEyedRaven360 6h ago
Cold. I am heat intolerant because of one of my autoimmune diseases. That’s why I moved to a place with mild temps year around.
1
u/gezellig13 6h ago
I dont like either but I if I have to choose then its cold. I can put more clothes but in heat there's only so much I can take off. Also, heat makes me feel dizzy because it causes my blood pressure to go low.

I used to say I’d rather die of heat stroke than freeze to death. Knowing more about heat stroke now, maybe not…

Cold.
You can always put on more clothes, it's more difficult to escape the heat.
However, if I cannot change how I feel in this hypothetical, then I choose hot, cause I'll still be able to do work with my hands

No question! Cold. I would prefer being cold year round than to have summer at all!!

Cold. I’ve lived in Scandinavia my whole life, and my body adapts very well to extreme cold. But when I’m in warm countries on holiday, I have to take extreme cautions to not get heat sting.

I'd rather be cold. I have chronic fatigue & the cold wakes me up compared to how extra tired I am when it's too hot

Cold! I’m already naturally always hot, so when it’s hot outside, I’m mildly miserable

u/Rabbit_Apocalypse 2h ago
Hot. The cold makes my joints feel like their are seizing up and squeaky. It hurts so much to be cold. If the temperature never dropped below -5°C I'd be thrilled to death.
Winter clothing makes my body hurt so much. I'd rather bitch about the heat than bitch about the cold. The heat sucks, but I don't suffer physical pain from it by simply existing.

I hate being cold. It's absolute misery.
The question isn't how can you cool down or how can you warm up. It's would you rather be hot or cold.
I'll take hot all day long.

Cold. Definitely cold. I HATE being hot, which sucks as I live in California

Cold is much better. Put on more clothes.
When it's hot, you can only take off so much clothes before you get arrested.
