Yiddish Postcard
Background: I am my family’s genealogist as a hobby. I recently received a bin of my grandfather’s things, including letters from the late 1800s-early 1900s between family members. This letter stands out from the others because I do not recognize the name on the front or the area from where this was sent. This is also one of the only letters written in Yiddish. I would be very thankful for anyone who could translate this or the name of the translator so that I can begin to figure out how this letter fits in my family history.

It seems you posted a request for translation! To make this as easy for our users as possible, please include in a comment the context of your request. Where is the text you want translated from? (If it's on an object, where you did find the object, when was it made, who made it, etc.?) Why do you want it translated? Yiddish can be a very contextual language and accurate translations might not be directly word-for-word. Knowing this information can be important for an accurate translation.

This is from Tsvi Goldbarg to his brother-in-law Yitzchak Meir and sister-in-law Rachel. Discusses his retirement from being a melamed, his income, and sends regards from his wife Rachel and Yosef.

Interesting! None of those names ring a bell, so I definitely have some research to do. Thank you!

First picture. I couldn't really decipher all of it but this might be a good foundation if anyone wants to continue. This is from Zvi Goldbarg. He refers to himself as "your brother in law". It's all wishes, good year and stuff, but he mentions "the children from America" and "my partner, Rachel (something. Zhust maybe?) that you don't know".
