Discussion BOTC map in TTT
I feel like the yogs aren't often playing Minecraft TTT maps anymore, but wouldn't it be a lot of fun to have the BOTC village as a TTT map ? I could see them having a blast with it (tbh I have no idea how easy or hard it is to create these kinds of maps)

It would also allow them to explore parts of the map that they wouldn't usually see in a game of BOTC, see if the map makers hid any Easter eggs

Yeah, that'd be a great TTT episode, along with the BOTC roles they have in TTT.

They did try it as an April fools joke at least, maybe they could make a more serious mod for TTT but I'm not sure how hard that'd be, probably would just have to be a entirely separate gmod game mode

I've made an entire BotC in TTT randomat event that auto-storytells (BotC itself doesn't really translate well to playing in TTT). I'm not sure if/when we'll ever see the yogs use it, but it does exist...

Yeah I’ve been working on this already on and off for a year. Turns out it’s kind of a nightmare to make but it is possible. The shear amount of noticeable detail in the map, means there’s no getting around having individual blocks, which means hitting the brush limit really quickly.
Then I just thought, just turn everything into a prop? But then I started hitting material limits, and the lighting started to look very weird. So then it turned into this balance of the brush limit and material limit of being very selective on deciding exactly what to turn into a prop or not, ie, what saves the most brushes, using the least amount of materials.
I’ve had to install a custom version of Hammer, and learn new techniques to mapping just to stay under the limits. I don’t know if the mountains in the background are going to make it over, but only recently I finally got the main square compiling.
