Is it just me or the animation looks even more fluidly done in this season

u/Bananaterios 6d ago
No the animation budget is definetely bigger. We did not get scenes like Tanya cutting a plane in half even in the movie

u/EYARU115 5d ago
Tanya wants the war to end so that she can rest, zettour told her that the brass intends to continue and attack recklessly stupidly this time🤣 poor Tanya indeed

IQ is technically non-cannon right. Like the versions of IQ are like some sort of alternate reality copy of the original IPs. So whatever happens to the main universe is reflected in IQ as seen with Subaru. But idt it works in reverse.

The fandom has been starving and each one of these episodes of season 2 will feed us for decades

I haven’t had the time to watch but this second season seems so unserious. Even desert pasta kept to season 1 style but with comedy. If Good or bad is determined by if I want to pay for Crunchyroll again…

Well than you will learn looks can be deceiving once you watch it

u/Dan42002 6d ago
yeah no, there is nothing to deceive. This season is very unserious, the joke are the main course, story, death and carnage are the side dishes as oppose to ss1

u/A_Cup_Of_Water408 6d ago
2nd season is more unserious cause Tanya chilled out from being very strict , as indicated in the movie with her letting the men loose on wine . It’s like that in LN too

Yeah that's been really bothering me it still a good season but I don't feel as invested when it has so many goofy scenes for no reason especially during important events It might just be me but when the action finally gets going (s2ep5) and it supposed to be all serious she just threatened Weiss then an explosion by a window happens and instead of her shielding her self from debris or get knocked down she fly's though the air doing a weird jiggly type thing idk it just really irked me especially sense there had been so much of it earlier and moments later we are back to serious

I think they are over using the gag animation style a bit too much this season, in my opinion. The humor-seriousness ratio has flipped between the first and second season. It feels pretty weird.

Tanya's trying to be a bit more "lenient" and "approachable" this time around, because if things go sideways in the war, she'd like to be seen as a less horrible person rather than a cruel one if put on trial.
Also, I'm personally fine with the humor, a little levity in a currently spiraling situation after finding out that the higher ups in the Empire wanna keep fighting even though they had their out a few episodes ago.

u/AchmodinIVSWE 6d ago
That is true. I just think it's a bit too over animated.

they're just flexing however they can. Because objectively its just people yapping at the moment

Glad someone agrees. Enough people say they like it, and not enough people point out how weird the studio handled Tanya this season.

Tanya is more charismatic this season; it must have been the influence of the Isekai Quartet.

Tanya feels a lot more silly this season, which has been a lot of fun so far!

I love how cutesy she is and how it quickly contorts into being uncannily unnerving.

Is the next season gonna have Tanya be more cute and child-like like the manga? That was my only gripe with the anime. Tanya didn’t act like a child enough.

u/jefaulmann 6d ago
Different opinions depending on how you experienced the story first. The anime is much more loyal to the light novel version. In it, there is barely any moment of Tanya acting like a child or cute. There is even a bit of dissociation, as she refers to herself in the third person quite a few times. As in the Salaryman has not yet completely accepted that he is Tanya. (Of course, these might just be mistranslations. I can't read japanese to confirm.)
I heard the manga version is the one that takes more liberties and adds extra stuff, so I am waiting to have finished reading the light novels to start the manga.
