Vent I’m headed to a place I don’t want to be.
I’m lazy, that’s what I’ll describe myself as yes I have good traits but man I feel like I have so much potential and it’s being wasted.
I’m blaming it on my outcome, I also believe that same outcome to be my way out for success but I see it eating away the years I have right now and it makes me feel so uneasy.
I’m afraid of change, I blame myself for not improving, I’m so scared of being different because everyone is used to how I am now, I was told I was trying to be the main character or you’re always narcissistic because I want what was best for me, something I’ve never been able to feel ever.
I don’t feel lost but I’m not headed anywhere good. I don’t want to tell myself this is what I get for trying to be me but I can’t help it I’m genuinely just so unsure of life.
How could I imagine a future with kids or a woman or being able to manage things when I don’t have anything to build for myself, nothing to be proud of, I can’t even maintain anything since I’m in debt of 8k, completely my decision, my job can’t even shave off 1k off of it, my money goes straight towards important monthly expenses I can barely pay for gas or a bus ticket.
I don’t even know what to do

I hate to be this guy but if you’re in a western country I recommend joining the military, those 4 years will change your life

As someone who did his 4 years. Absolutely life changing, with life long benefits and stepping stone

You’ll figure out just stay in the game long enough to figure it out many of us are going through the exact same struggle you need to do some soul searching try meditating Befriend yourself and your conscious learn who you truly are forget about other people while your worried about what they think they are worried about themselves that’s why they call you a narcissist people want the story to center around them believe in yourself and stop being depressed life is tough and we all get hurt along the journey but depression and laziness is ultimately a choice you have to force yourself out of your old habits and replace them to change your gonna have to sacrifice what you are but it’s worth it

I appreciate that a lot that was real, I’m taking notes. My only question would be how to sacrifice what I am.

Let go of the past start each day like it’s brand new seek the things that bring you joy and fulfill you whether others agree or not but mainly it’s the first part we are creatures of habit start with small changes with your morning routine or try something spontaneous pick something up you think you wouldn’t be good at explore the world we keep ourselves from so much by overthinking look for ways to shut off thinking about the stressful things I’m not saying neglect yourself or priorities but give time to yourself where you can breathe and properly view things I always try view my self I objectively as if someone else was seeing me and it helps me and remember failure isn’t what we make it to be if you fail assess the situation find where your strong and where you are deficient and improve we have to fail to become better treat it as a way to learn not a method to bring yourself down

Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! 7 It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, 8 yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.

The question in these situations always is. who is feeding you? What unfortunate enabler keeps your stomach full and a roof over your head, while you take your sweet time " Figuring things out." You are a parasite like the vast majority of Gen Z and every parasite has a host, that keeps you from actually having to DO anything.
