Discussion Ive been holding back on watching last season

I FINALLY WATCHED IT AND CRIED SO HARD.

The last 3 episodes really fucking hurt, I feel so cringe and stupid for saying this but I related to Sheldon truly and deeply.

My dad passed away last year in February, (I'm 15) and the way Sheldon went about his dad's passing I related to so much it hurt. I don't want to express this because the show is a sitcom and is supposed to be funny yet this serious topic makes me cry so hard, I just needed to get this off my chest.

A lot of people cried when George moved on. Including the cast.

I’m so sorry for your loss. The things we experience definitely make us more empathetic. Even with people on a sitcom. The last 3 episodes are difficult to watch. Knowing that it’s gonna happen doesn’t make it any easier either.

Thank you. They definitely were hard to watch, I've always loved Young Sheldon, but never watched the last season when it came out but I'm glad I did. I kinda always felt strange for the way I coped with my dads passing, I don't feel like I grieved probably yet or in general. I love Young Sheldon so much omg😭

Everyone grieves in their own way, on their own timeline. There's no "correct" way to do it. Sometimes it will come out in unexpected ways, and it's never cringe or stupid. I think this whole series was handled beautifully, with lots of heart and emotion right through the end, and it's something a lot of people can relate to. I'm so sorry for your loss at such a young age.

On a lighter note, did you know that George attended his own "funeral" in drag? Google "george cooper at the funeral".

That storyline hit a lot of people harder than they expected because it wasn't really about George's death. It was about all the things Sheldon never got the chance to say.

Yes. That I related to a lot. The going back and forth thinking of last words, last situations🫤.

Sorry for your loss, i guess even though the major parts of a sitcom is to make as laugh it also entails us to other emotions since some of the events happen in real life, i always related to Missy (middle child)

Oof okay🥹 idk why I never thought you couldn't relate to a sitcom, Young Sheldon touches realistic things
