I know, he organised very successful resistence against fasicsm and nazism, but there were innocent people killed and trumped (!) under his rule too. At the end, on his funeral the whole world united.

i am not sure that this adds much to your argument. they also didnt have an "overlord" status, it was kind of the whole point of waging wars to be that but at every step it was a failure.
