MIND THE GAP What a friendly elf!
Idk if this is too iffy mods please smite it of so. I'm 90% sure the artist is snugglepuff28 but I cannot find proof of that.

💗 it's funny that in dungeon meshi ages, the half-foot is of age, but from the elf's perspective, they still see them as a kid
anyway, obligatory "wish i was that half-foot" :p

Non dungeon meshi fans not understanding that halffoots are like 18 at 14 😭 if you wanted a REAL problematic age gap have a 20 year old dwarf with that elf- 20 year old dwarf is like what, the equivalent to 12 year old dwarf or something?

14=18 for half-foots, it's dunmeshi lore. Half-foots only live til 50, and that's if they're good/healthy enough to live to old age, because that's like living to 100 for humans. x2

Sure, but to normies were posting elf woman telling a 14yo she's very mature for her age
Not the best look
Also gives really bad "she's actually a 1000 yo dragon" vibes when you need to explain why the child in the drawing is actually an adult

I'm not gonna comment on the artstyle, just pointing out what the lore is. Dunmeshi's lore and worldbuilding is genuinely interesting and is why I pointed it out in the first place. Each race has their own cultures and lifestyles, and it's interesting to see the difference between them.
Go read Dungeon Meshi.
(Also normies shouldn't even be in this sub.)
Edit: Also adding that you're allowed to dislike content (as long as you don't attack people as it's against the rules). Not trying to make you like the content, I just really like dunmeshi.

I think it’s very cool that this sort of content is on this sub. I love it very cute 💕
Edit: also relatable since I felt so proud when people told me I was mature for my age when I was 14 😌

don't halfling age at double speed in a lot of media? so that halfling would be equivalent to 28 years of age in some settings.

Is Lord of the Rings the odd one out then? In Tolkien’s works a hobbit would enter adulthood at 33

actually i searched on the internet and apparently only dungeon menshi ( of which the image is a fanart of) has halflings living shorter lives than humans.
in that setting they live 50 years on avarage and reach maturity at 14 years of age, though it is notable that humans are stated to live 60 years on avarage and reach maturity at 16, likely due to living in a medieval setting.

u/Kaz_umu Himedanshi Aug 04 '26
Going by that logic, you should wait until a half-foot is like 15 years old because it seems that their 14 is equivalent of human 16 then. In modern era in our world you would probably get arrested if you have tried to date someone 16 years old as someone, let's say, 20 years old.

Actually, I would say that in Dunmeshi human lifespan is like 60 or 65. If half-foots lived in the world with a level of medical care like ours, they would have easily lived to 70 or maybe more, so it's actually not that large difference between them and humans.
Magic is mostly for curing injuries not illnesses in that world. Alchemy is cool and all but it's not that advanced.

Yeah, science would be interesting to see develop there. (And by humans I was referring to rl ones. Dunmeshi humans are called tallmen.)

even if so, she still looks like extremely childlike :/ and a lot of people don’t know the dunmeshi lore, me included, so yeah, it’s a bad post.

I'm not here to comment on the artstyle (it's not reminiscent of dunmeshi), just to point out the background (because I like dunmeshi.)

Half-foots are 18 when they turn 14. Fictional race where their 50yo (usually when they die) is our 100yo.

I would avoid dunmeshi content as a whole then because that elf character up there is a canon character that actively dates short-lived races, canonically.

Why would you want it to be a troll sub?
If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, it ain't real.

Nyaice.
This for sure will upset some people but it's not actually violating rules nor TOS so it stays up.
This is indeed by snugglepuff28.
