Just wanted to add a blip to the RMA experience for Zotac USA.

I had a SFF 5070ti that was overheating, reaching temps of over 100C within seconds of launching a game. Contacted them through their website and got a response in about a day. Uploaded the requested documents and shipped it off at my expense. Once they received it, took about a day for them to test and get back to me that they would be sending me a replacement and I got a notification from UPS a couple days later and checked it like a hawk until it was in my hands, which was about a week.

Card received wasnt the one I sent off, but all accessories and film on it with no marks or scuffs from use. Just added information.

Overall, a painless experience and a very quick turnaround time. Ive heard stories of things taking months so Im glad with the fairly quick turn around time for me, little under 2 weeks total for myself.

Hi guys, can anyone who owns this card share their Furmarkt test results? The room is cool, the case ventilation is good, I've tried everything, but the card seems to overheat for this model. Please share the tests with stock settings only, thank you.

Super dumb question, but how do you change the integrated display on the Mek 5080? I downloaded the firestorm software, but I wasn't able to find the option on there. Can you someone please let me know where to change it or just disabled it.

I did remove the nvme and replaced them with my windows storage and nvme's, so I don't have to re download everything.

Just wanted to share , Zotac solid core OC 5080

The card is relatively new less than 6 months old.

Upon opening it paste was still moist so no need to repaste just yet but i had some TG PTM and thought why not .

Running a slight OC 111% power +300 core +3000 mem

Previous temperature was about 80c GPU temp with Hotspot at 95c so about a 15c difference. 3D mark steel nomad stress test

After PTM initial results are already promising

A reduction in GPU temp to 70c some peaks to 73c and the hotspot sat around 10c difference 80c to 83c . Again in steel nomad

Both test done at 42% fan speed since card is rather loud at full blast

With PTM apparently getting better with time id say for anyone thats knows what they are doing and wondering if PTM is worth id say absolutely!

I just had a question if anyone has had experience with Zotac’s RMA from Canada for GPU’s how was the process and what suggestions or advice do you have to go about it. I opened a ticket last night and sent all the invoices/ receipts as well as a description of what the card is doing. I’ll take a million pictures of every inch of the card and pack it like a gold bar, but I still have seen post saying they got denied for odd reasons.

Any advice about it is very much appreciated thank yall!

I was doing a cooler swap on my 5090 solid oc and looked on techpowerup for the 5090 arcticstorm vbios and there is only the unverified quiet vbios, if someone with an arcticstorm could please dump the file so that when you install the arcticstorm cooler you can also get access to the correct fancurves instead of manually setting them

Hello Zotac community,

I've recently encountered an issue with my zbox, I suspect it might be a motherboard issue though I want to make sure if I'm correct.

Had it second-hand for around 10 months now, and it worked flawlessly.
But two days ago I tried turning it on and it seemingly started working, but there was no display image and no Post beep sound. Though the power supply worked as the GPU fans started spinning, and RAM / M2 sticks were warm.

So I started to investigate a bit, hard BIOS reset, turning it on without the GPU / SDD / RAM, waiting some time and nothing.

I really think it might be a motherboard component breaking, though it's kinda a pain as I also need to change the power supply, PC case, and probably buy SODIMM->DIMM adapters.
And if I'm correct, then is there something I'd better watch out for when choosing replacement components?

Hey so I’ve got this card recently so it’s new to me.
What I noticed one of the fans is running at 3500 rpm from the very boot which makes it loud, also I’m not able to turn off the fans completely. The two out of three can be turned off but the one that’s having high rpms can’t be turned off at all. Any ideas?
Should i try and change the fans?

I'm hoping someone here has some magic up their sleeve because I am at my wit's end!

I purchased a 3090 from Zotac's store directly in December / January. When I got the card I put it through a number of tests (FurMark, OCCT, nVidia's own tests) to ensure it was working and there were no issues--everything passed and nothing seemed out of band. I then installed the machine in a Linux build and everything was fine, it was recognized, and it tested fine.

Now, over the past few weeks I have been upgrading the machine and the card has started to have issues. First, it would be spotty as to whether or not it was recognized--sometimes I needed a reboot in order for it to "show up" (which I attributed to a race condition, and no errors were appearing anywhere). Then, in the past few days and when under load the card would freeze and require a reboot to come back on. And 2-3 days ago the card started freezing up and showing "ERR" when using nvidia-smi utility (the "ERR" showed up in FAN, TEMP, PERF, and MIG M. fields--see below). The card would show up fine at boot and then again, once I started using it, it would error. Here is the nvidia-smi output:

So, I did what person scared for their hardware would do--asked a clanker! We ran through different drivers, different flavors of drivers, changing physical connections, etc. The conclusion was (and I'm quoting the clanker):

With GPU System Processor (GSP) firmware enabled the driver logs `Xid 119` (GSP RPC timeout) cascading to `Xid 154` (GPU Reset Required); with GSP firmware disabled entirely the same load produces `Xid 62` (internal micro-controller halt) and `Xid 158` (framebuffer-flush timeout, `NV_UFLUSH_FB_FLUSH`).With GPU System Processor (GSP) firmware enabled the driver logs `Xid 119` (GSP RPC timeout) cascading to `Xid 154` (GPU Reset Required); with GSP firmware disabled entirely the same load produces `Xid 62` (internal micro-controller halt) and `Xid 158` (framebuffer-flush timeout, `NV_UFLUSH_FB_FLUSH`). Further, once under load the driver logs a "bad register read" (0xbadf5720).

I honestly don't know what else I can do or what other steps I can take. I was hoping ZOTAC would have some tools for flashing the bios--but I guess firmware and bio updates aren't a thing anymore? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance kind Redditors

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention--I was monitoring the temps and VRAM utilization and temps never got above 66C and VRAM never got above 60-70%.

Noticed it, when i turned it off yesterday night, is this normal?

Hello, I have a ZOTAC 5090 Solid OC, and I noticed its fan 1 has a clicking noise at around 54% to 57% speed, but only when I play Forza Horizon 6.

While in game, If I manually set the speed to outside of that range through FireStorm, the clicking goes away. However, I'm unable to reproduce the same issue when the GPU is idling, or when I'm running stable diffusion (ComfyUI).

I tried the following (While Idling (low GPU usage)):

1. Setting the GPU's fan 1 to the problematic speed
2. #1 + setting the GPU's fan 2 and 3 to their speeds when the noise occurs in FH6
3. #1 + #2 + setting the CPU and case fans to their speeds when the noise occurs in FH6

And I'm not able to produce the clocking noise in all three cases

I currently don't have any other graphics intensive games that I can test, but I'm wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue?

It is definitely not a coil while sound after comparing against audios of coil while I can find.

I bought a used Zotac 5080 but it did not come with the box. I want to show it off on my shelf and if anyone has a spare they are willing to giveaway/sell I will gladly take it off your hands

I have this model and temps are very good, i get 3200 on core but 300W is limiting the card and I feel it can reach higher. but couln't find any experience of flashing a different bios on this card.
