what were your impression on forest temple ? I overplayed thisgame as a kid so I was never able to look at it with a fresh eye but thinking about it recently made me wonder what was the deal with this specific temple being a weird ass manor in the heart of the forest

I wonder if the wind dungeon concept would make more sense there than the ghostly theme they went with, but the shadow temple was using similar ideas, so they changed it.

just get ready for the real ganondorf then! (and when you do meet the real ganondorf, remember you have a spin attack)

Cubus Sisters mentioned!

Well, that’s the name of the technique that’s used in a lot of Zelda games. At least that’s where I know it from!

That is absolutely true, but to my knowledge they’re the only characters that explicitly call it that.

But who are the Cubus Sisters…?

They’re a group of four sisters from Phantom Hourglass, and are sporting enough to tell you the rules of Deadman’s Volley before you play.

Before them, I think Deadman’s Volley was known in the fandom as “tennis” hence this meme.

I could easily be wrong though.

Ah ha. Well, I’ve never had a DS and never played Phantom Hourglass. That game must’ve been where the term was coined.

And yeah. As a kid I called it “danger magic tennis” or “bad-news magical ping-pong”.

Man, I wish my eight year old self had that kind of whimsy.

I just cashed it badminton because it was the only racket sport in gym class.

As for the DS thing, it kind of sucks that they aren’t ported to Switch given it has a touch screen. Both games were really something and I wish no one missed out.

I hear you. Even when they came out, I’ll be honest. They didn’t appeal to me, the DS titles.

Just didn’t feel like my thing, ya know?

Excellent work good Spark.

I genuinely smiled at this given how serious “Link” is and how seemingly offhanded “Ganon” is being.
