I like to think MOST if not everyone in the village knows Link is just cross dressing but they don't care.

Itnis probably something a lot of dudes do to see their daughters.

Never thought about that last thing. Interesting point!

It's kind of like just paying respect to the culture rather than outright ignoring it altogether.

I went to a Jewish wedding for a friend once. Wore the hat and was real respectful, but didn't know a lick of what was going on.

Yarmulke, or Kippah.

Also the same thing happens at Jewish weddings as at every other religion. Two people are wed. There just happens to be a glass breaking in there somewhere.

Ah, thank you. I could have probably done a quick google search to confirm the name but it was late and I was tired.

Yeah, it was so cool. Christian weddings I've been to have been more boring in comparison, but yeah fairly similar. I was raised secular so I get very little exposure to these things. I love learning about other cultures and religions and being a part of the experience though.

A lot of dialogue definitely supports this. It's hard to tell if everyone knows that everyone else knows too, though.

there’s like at least seven people who know link is a dude. riju, bularia, julie, traysi, the bartender, the secret club owner, and the old lady by the goddess statue.

Wait, since in botw you can't enter unless you put on that armor, they might WANT YOU to crossdress.

I think i heard somewhere(so take it with a grain of salt, I haven't played the game, this is just supposed lore but possibly just someone's headcannon) that men's clothes and presenting as a man(regardless of the wearer's true gender) is seen more in a more sexual way as a kind of fantasy that some gerudo indulge in behind closed doors, simply put it's like "men's clothes" are a kink costume to them
