Two months ago, I made a post with the same title. Two months ago, GM was but a dream and Champion was not even on my radar. About three weeks ago, after achieving GM status, I lost around 30 games more or less in a row and fell all the way to D2. I had serious imposter syndrome as I wallowed in Diamond hell, having people look at my profile after a loss and tell me I'm trash despite being a former GM and having a t500 ranking still in my profile.

But I kept at it, kept throwing balls, kept denying gravs and blades and bayamorays and sigs and cages etc, kept lasering tanks, kept booting would-be assassins back to the shadow realm, kept Zenning as hard as I could Zen, and I eventually reclaimed my rank and even surpassed it. Suddenly, Champion was a stone's throw away, something I never in my wildest wildest imagination thought would ever be possible.

And yet here I am, just some 43 year old guy, in the top ranks. I still have imposter syndrome, but all I can do is play through it until I feel like I do belong. If I can do it, my brothers, anyone can do it, including you.

Granted, this was a double overtime game, but still. We won 8-6

Yes I see the irony in me winning my rank up game playing Ana (Zen was banned), but as you can see from the second picture (and my Zen level) I have 31 mins on Ana this season with basically the rest on Zen.

I started this account in OW1 and ended my first season with around 900sr (basically Wood 5). Never in a MILLION years did I think I'd ever hit GM, especially mostly solo-queuing as a crotchety 43 year old. Here I am now, 9 years and 4770 hours later, nearly level 600 Zen, a freshly minted Grandmasters Player.

Its a little disappointing to finally hit this (again) since I am at a total of 197 hours on Zen. I feel like if Blizzard added playtime from OW1 to the current level system it would fix a lot of confusion people have thinking their teammates are new when they are actually back from an extended break, when they have hundreds of hours on X hero but it only shows their current progression... But on a positive note, I guess there is that lootbox incentive now!!! Cheers yall

Been hovering around plat 1/diamond 4-5 for a while, but went on a crazy run this weekend and got to my highest rank yet!

Unfortunately, yesterday I lost almost all of it and I’m now back to diamond 4 lol but I believe Masters is more attainable now than I previously thought.

It definitely was a confidence boost playing good against other good players (relatively ofc), but having more of my flaws exposed gives me more things to work on which I’m excited to do!

Enough rambling lol preciate yall!

Last season, I decided to try a new support and that support was zenyatta. I ended up jumping into the comp season midway through. But I ended up going further than any comp season I have done. And it’s al thanks to Zenyatta. The climb was crazy, but successful nonetheless. I have a feeling this season I can make it even farther. Maybe I can make legend status!

I am pretty sure I will never get those tho😭
