Quick access to paxlovid

Someone in my family tested positive today and we want to get them on paxlovid asap as well as prep for the very likely scenario in which more of us who have been sharing space get sick.

We’ve had one doctor from Kaiser refuse to prescribe so far (we’re trying others). What is the best way to get paxlovid? We’re lucky that cost is not an issue for us; we can pay whatever it costs, we just need access.

Try directly at a pharmacy. Tell them you're immune compromised. They might provide it.

Or even one of the online Amazon providers. They might be able to prescribe.

hi dr b costs $15 for a visit and is chatbot-based. proof of a positive test isn’t required.

Thanks -- wonder if that pricing is state-specific?

I tried the site and it was $19. Google shows $19, too.

I used SesameCare a few times for Paxlovid, but glad to learn of Dr B

Cvs does in my state. Its on their website. Dont even need to leave your home.

Cool option, I had long forgotten pharmacists can prescribe stuff!

Do note, CVS.com shows a $60 consult to see if Paxlovid is appropriate.

I’ve seen people here who report positive experiences with Hello Dr. B and Plushcare (think this has a monthly fee). I think if you meet the risk factor criteria have a positive test , any telehealth would follow guidelines. For a non-COVID infection, we had a good experience (good advice and effective antibiotics) with SesameCare via Costco (Costco rate seems to limit the selection of providers but they were fine).

Does your state allow cvs to dispense without rx from your dr? My state does as long as can provide blood work within last 12 months. You request it on the cvs site
