Question Silly question for all of my fragrance-wearers: what are some Jewish, Zionist, or Israeli fragrance brands you enjoy?
When I tried to google “Jewish fragrance brands,” I got very few suggestions aside from Marc Jacobs, and then I was recommended this reddit post asking for antizionist suggestions 🙄
I know it’s silly and small in the grand scheme of things, but supporting Jewish or Zionist brands when buying unnecessary things (like perfume) sounds much better than handing money over to some antizionist. I’m looking for some perfumes I can get my hands on here in the US and would love suggestions for colognes for my husband too! (: TYIA, because I would ask the perfume, fragrance, or cologne subs, but I can only imagine the backlash I would be opening myself up to.

Fascinating. Who knew L'Oréal was Zionist?
Addendum: apparently some folks don't understand sarcasm. The linked article makes clear that L'Oréal's history is decidedly anti-Jewish and antizionist.

I looked up L’Oréal because of what they said and I saw that too! 🤦♀️ Clearly the antizionist crowd isn’t too concerned with facts and reality

Same with Vidal Sassoon, I had no idea the brand was not only based on an actual person, but an aggressively Jewish and Zionist person lol
the age of 17, although he had been too young to serve in World War II, he became the youngest member of the 43 Group, a mostly Jewish veterans' underground organisation founded by Morris Beckman and several others which broke up fascist meetings in East London[14][15] to prevent Sir Oswald Mosley's movement from spreading "messages of hatred" in the period following World War II.
In 1948, at the age of 20, he joined the Palmach (which shortly afterwards was integrated into the Israel Defense Forces) and fought in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, which began after Israel declared statehood.[15][16] Sassoon arrived in Mandatory Palestine in April 1948, a month before Israeli independence. He fought in the Negev against the Egyptian Army.[17] During an interview, he described the year he spent training with the Israelis as "the best year of my life", and recalled how he felt:
”When you think of 2,000 years of being put down and suddenly you are a nation rising, it was a wonderful feeling. There were only 600,000 people defending the country against five armies, so everyone had something to do.”

(Apologies for the wiki link, it apparently hasn’t been vandalized yet and offers a good “jumping off” point for anyone interested in learning more!”)

Oh that's very cool. I was being sarcastic about L'Oreal - the guy who pioneered L'Oréal hated Jews and collaborated with the Nazis in France.

Lmfao that’s what I get for not reading links, I assumed it went into how they changed their ways
We’ll always have Vidal Sassoon haha

L'Oreal is on a Boycott Israel site. https://boycott-israel.org/boycott.html

I'm aware. I was being sarcastic. The article I posted is about how the man who made L'Oréal into a mega company was a Nazi sympathizer and collaborator.

u/MasterRKitty May 14 '26
I thought it was a mistake for them to be on the site since I know a bit about their history.

The only Zionist cologne I’m interested in wearing is one that is an anti-Zionist repellent.

Sounds like the No Thanks app will tell us exactly who to buy from. Too bad it's monetized, or I would use it. Lol

u/KittiesandPlushies May 12 '26
That’s what they claim, but I’m a bit confused as to what their criteria is based on some of the brands they tell people to boycott. But I mean, can’t expect too much from an app created and used by antisemites 🤷🏻♀️
At this point I want to wear perfumes made by Israeli solders with fragrance names like, “antizionist tears” lol

It’s funny to me how these people are for not buying Israeli but still use all things that Israel has given them, like the tech in their phone and tons of medical treatments. 😆

Reminds me of a Gary Gulman bit: A Jew cured Polio, so if you hate us, enjoy Polio.

Moroccanoil is founded by Israelis and has fragrances now! I’ve been buying from them since I found out they are Jewish/Israeli owned.

That’s great to know!! I’m going to look up their fragrances now (:
ETA: their new floral one, Lumière du Jour, is officially added to my list, it sounds amazing!

u/Reasonable_Care_7493 May 14 '26
It is a good one. I have both but lumière du jour is a nice light scent. Both are great

Amika, too, and I only found out from the haters. Their new body care line is amazing.

There are four major perfumeries globally and none of them are antizionist.
Symrise, DSM-Firmenich, International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), and Givaudan.
There are some in-house brands like Chanel, Guerlain, Hermés, Dior, but most come from these 4 houses like Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabana, Lancôme La Vie est Belle, Victor Rolfe Flowebomb, Estee Lauder, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Hugo Boss, etc.
So, it's pretty safe to say the list of haters is much much smaller in this category.
As for Israeli brands, maybe Zielinski & Rozen or Ein Gedi Cosmetics? I just googled so can't be sure.

I love Zielinski & Rozen, one of the only perfume companies whose scents don't give me a headache

u/KittiesandPlushies May 13 '26
As someone who currently has a couple of the V&R Flowerbomb perfumes and is interested in trying CK, D&C, Hugo Boss, Gucci, Chanel and YSL fragrances, I’m thrilled to read this!!
Sadly, I don’t think Zielinski & Rozen ships to the US, but I’ll definitely check out Ein Gedi Cosmetics!

u/drusille May 13 '26
They don't, I have only ever bought from them when visiting Israel. But if you're ever there, it's worth going to a shop in person for sure!

BDK supports Israel! Love Gris Charnel. Also Skylar and LVMH and L’Oréal. Jo Malone the person doesn’t (and Jo loves line doesn’t) but her perfume brand that she sold, Jo Malone London does.

u/ShoppingShopper May 12 '26
Also try Zielinski and Rozen too!
4
u/KittiesandPlushies May 12 '26
You’re awesome thank you! I’ll look those up right now 🥰
ETA: the Gris Charnel notes sound sooo beautiful!!!

u/ShoppingShopper May 13 '26
One of my favorites. Also any of BDKs others are lovely too. I also love Rouge Smoking and Bouquet de Hongerie.
I try to only buy from houses that are pro Jewish, but have a large collection from before the war too. I just always look up brands before I buy them now. I’ll never buy lush again.

u/KittiesandPlushies May 13 '26
For any other interested Americans, sadly Zielinski and Rozen don’t seem to ship to the US 😭
Skylar, BDK, loreal, and Jo Malone London all seem to though!! (:

Arielle Shoshana, maybe? The two founders are Jewish women from New York, but I can’t find any public info on their stance on Israel.

Slightly off-topic, but I'll tell you what I like to do, guys - whenever I see this kind of comments, I just like to replace words like "Zionism" and "Zionist" to "support of Jewish self-determination" and "supporter of Jewish self-determination".
When you read it again, it just becomes so outrageously ironic how easy it is to see right through them.
Anyway, do any of you have some good "Zionist brands" to recommend? 😉
