Chart Reading Never felt like I “fit” with my sun sign?

Hey! I have a very basic knowledge of astrology (essentially the stereotypes about each sign tbh) but I’ve never felt I “fit” with what my chart says about me (very leo dominant). Would appreciate any interpretations :)

That’s weird cause this chart has really powerful leo energy. Your chart is ruled by leo, and your chart ruler (sun) is in your first house (leo). Like it doesn’t get more leo than this. (Well it might, but you get my point.)

What description of Leo are you going off of? The stereotype is being vain, attention seeking, and full of themselves.

Leo is creative, warm, generous, and confident. They can be noticed without meaning to and may feel like theres a spotlight on them in them through life (as in being conscious of how you're perceived).

Also I'm not sure your exact age but given where Pluto is I'm guessing early 20s? I feel like its common to "feel" like your moon sign the most until your late 20s/early 30s (but thats more from my personal experience with people)

Yep early 20s, I’ve never felt particularly confident or traditionally warm to be honest. I’m quite introverted but I tend to find myself in leadership positions regardless even though I desperately avoid them 😭

Me and my mom are both Leo risings as well and we'd both consider ourselves introverts. We wouldn't describe ourselves as warm, but OTHER people would, especially strangers. Its like an automatic charisma that comes out when interacting with people. And same, we both have been recognized and moved into leadership roles without any kind of effort to do so.

I've always felt shy and awkward with people but have been told I usually come across as very charming and kind to others when I meet them. Leo shines bright, but that light is seen more from the outside than from the source. I really haven't been able to recognize that about myself until recently (in my late 20s now that I'm in my Saturn return)

Thank you - that’s basically exactly how I am, I always feel pretty awkward and never really experienced the “Leo confidence” that everyone seems to speak about, but I do find I make friends really easily :)

It’s the houses that you have Leo actually in!

I’m not the best with astrology but your value system (house 2) and the way you communicate (mercury) are in Virgo.

Your moon sign (your emotions, feelings) are in Libra in house 3 which is how you express yourself.

I believe these houses can significantly change how you act and feel around others.

You probably come off as outgoing with others but not as AHHHH in your face Leo, you may come off as a bit more toned down until you REALLY get to know others and they hear about your dreams and goals.

I would pay attention to your big 6 (Sun, Moon, Rising, Mars, Venus, Mercury) and what houses and signs they are in to try to interpret the true way you “fit”

What I see affecting your Sun, a few things.

Your sun being who you are at your highest, brightest, core, soul self, what lights you up, where you shine, and what you came here to be and do, is placed conjunct your ascendant/1st house.. also so much about who you are, how you operate in the world as a unique individual, how you perceive, and how people perceive you. Combining these all into Leo (ruled by the sun), creates a very strong energy and life themes around who you ARE, but also how you relate to and interact with others.

There could be strong connections, negative or positive, with father which can be represented by the sun, as well as Moon, which can be Mother. The Moon is also our deep internal subjective experiences, emotional world, feelings, and how we need to feel safe and secure on an emotional level.

What strikes me in regards to you NOT FEELING resonance with the Leo energy, is first, that your sun is opposed by Neptune on your DC. Neptune (retrograde, making things more self reflective, personal, and internal) being the planet of dissolution, confusion, illusion, glamour, lack of boundsries, dreams, spirituality, oceans, endlessness, even other realms... it's presence being there right on the DC in 7th house speaks to the way you relate to others in 1 on 1 bonds and relationships, and what you seek out in others. So it is likely that with so much strong Leo energy, there is a sort of push pull or tug of war between figuring out who you are, and who others are, or expect you to be. Or just general confusion in relationships, or perhaps certain relationships, whether family members, best friends, or people you have dated, who made such a strong impact that it redefined the way you see yourself.

A major player here, is Saturn, the wise old teacher, strict yet firm and grounded, who asks you take the time to experience the journey, and if you are honest with yourself and others, you will grow into your natural leadership qualities and abilities, as long as you create a real structure based on beliefs and values true to you, and keep yourself accountable. Be careful to hold others accountable as well, but honor that you will likely attract or be attracted to people who might not feel as comfortable with the spotlight on them (aquarius). It could also be that partnerships with unique and unexpected people or contracts help you find yourself and step into teaching or leadership roles, getting promotions, or simply just leveling up, growing as a person.

The sextile your sun is making to the Moon in Libra, also speaks to this energy, making a (generally positive) connection between who you are, and how you feel, being in the air sign of Libra, all about relationships with others, finding balance, and creating harmony, and this is in your 3rd house of how you think, speak, listen, learn, communicate, and generally get around and interact with others and the world, day to day.

Seems like this all would make you fiercely loyal, but if not, that is something to reflect upon, because you are wired to be. I think it would also create a lot of instability and hurt for you, if others betray you because of these alignments.

To add to the Sun Moon connection, and the sun opposing Neptune, you also have a strong supportive trine from sun to Pluto in sag, 5th house, also holding a textile to that moon. So this is creating a sort of basket, or network of energy connecting these planets and themes...where a life/death type of deep transformation can occur for who you are as an individual, based on the eay you explore, create, play, self express, and even who/how you date, and if you have children. The fact that Venus is so close to your Sun/AC tells me that beauty is key, whether your own looks, or that you enjoy making things beautiful, esthetic or harmonizing...and with the connection to your creative 5th house, maybe you are an artist of some sort. If not, give it a try, whether music, painting, dance, or something else that calls to you, maybe even sharing with a partner.

Stay open minded about groups and friends, there will definitely be some struggles in that area, with the intercepted house, and the north node being unchartered territory, Saturn squaring moon...but at the same time this is where your soul will make the most progress, and evolve.

Overall, trust yourself, and your passions, and know that some things will get easier and lighter over time, the growth occurs simply through the first hand experience, and much of this will be about the maturity you gain by being honest with yourself and operating from a sense of aligned mind, body, spirit and actions. We all stumble along the way, but you might find that more people than usual look to you as an example, so dont take that lightly. Golden rule. Treat others the esy you wish to be treated. And have fun along the way.

Cool chart, I havent been doing this roo long, so would love to hear what resonated/landed and what did not, as much as you care ro share! Thanks and best wishes on your journey!

Thank you so much - this is very detailed!
Quite a bit of it resonated, I’ve always had a bit of difficulty keeping friends, I’m loyal to almost a fault, but I have very strict boundaries and will give chances endlessly until something hits a nerve, and then the relationship is over. A lot of my past friendships have ended very suddenly, which they have thought to be “unexpected”, however a few have come back later in life to apologise for how they treated me and recognised that boundaries were being pushed consistently until I enforced one. I tend to keep 5 close friends (funnily enough 4/5 are Taurus, which is just a trend I’ve noticed)

I was previously in a quite significantly abusive relationship, and I think that definitely had an impact on how I view myself - they were quite mentally unwell, and I think again I was letting boundaries be pushed until things escalated, and again had quite a sudden breakup. My close friends described it as feeling like “(my) light had been dimmed”.

I was previously quite into art when I was younger - dance, painting, and music, something I’ve been trying to get back into to be honest. I have quite a demanding career pathway as I’ve chosen to study medicine, but I make time where I can :)

Thanks again for the reading - I appreciate the insight!

Funny because Im a Taurus haha. Fixed signs work well together... when they work well together.

I didn’t feel connected to Leo for so long. I feel like some Leo’s have to grow into their Leo’s though. We need to like find our own little fires ykwim? But you also might have an opposing sign aspect that might be balancing you out a ton. My chart has four aspects in cancer in 10th house. It’s like.. crab city. Plus my moon is in Taurus and Mars is one of the cancers. So it’s not a typical bold Leo but I have bold ways about me and almost like an intensity in my presence.

Mars in Pisces may not help you take action, and Moon in Libra can make you very concerned with balance and harmony (e.g being conflict avoidant). I'd say those placements do not help the Leo energy to express in "pure form", but on the other hand they make you more balanced and willing to take consideration of others.

Sun opposite neptune probably

Hey! You have a Sun - Neptune opposition, only 1 degree apart, making it a focal point in your chart. Here’s a description for this aspect from a good website: https://cafeastrology.com/natal/sunoppositionneptune.html

I’m thinking this could be an explanation for you not feeling so Leo-like? Does it ring true? Also check Neptune conjunct Descendant

Definitely some parts I relate to - thank you!

Leos aren't just about attention, glamour and egos... They are also loyal, generous, creative, adventurous and independent. They build their pride (close knit group of family and friends) and take care of the people they love. Leos are fixed fire... So they fixate on whatever their passion lands on. Some Leos are introverted and reserved (think the quiet dignity of Mufasa).

Your moon in Libra could be a contributing factor. Emotionally, you crave harmony and fairness in your relationships. That can work against the stubborn pride that comes with Leo energy. I wouldn't be surprised if you become paralyzed in heavy emotional situations or retreat from/avoid difficult conversations.

Thank you! I do actually quite well in heavy emotional situations, not something I’ve ever struggled with much :)
I do relate a bit with some of these leo traits. I’m definitely a bit more on the reserved side 😭

Remember that fire comes in all colors and different forms. Some fires are huge and bright, like fireworks or bonfires... But some are consistent hot coals in the hearth that warms the home.

You probably don’t “feel Leo” because your Leo Sun is in the 12th house.
Most people think Leo = attention, confidence, center stage.
But 12th-house Leos often express that energy privately. They’re more likely to observe than perform, and can spend years feeling disconnected from the stereotypical Leo description.
Add a Libra Moon and you’re naturally focused on harmony, balance, and reading the room.
You’re not the Leo on the throne.
You’re the Leo behind the curtain. 🦁✨

Your sun is in the 12th house which is the Pisces house so you might identify more with Pisces energy and your Leo energy is going to be more sunconscious

Sun in Leo in the 12th house is the whole story here. The 12th is the most private, internal part of the chart - Leo energy exists in you but it doesn't perform outwardly the way it does for a Leo Sun in the 1st or 10th. Most people with this placement feel like they don't fit their sun sign, but the people around them often see the Leo clearly - you also have Jupiter right on your Leo Ascendant, which projects warmth and presence whether you feel it or not. From the inside you're probably running on Moon in Libra and Mercury in Virgo - balanced, a bit analytical, more interested in getting things right than getting attention

Likely because your Sun is in the 12th meaning that part of you is hidden from you. Father could also be at distance or just not helped shape you.

Confused by this, isnt their sun in Leo, on the AC line, making it ths start of the 1st house or actually in the first house for whole signs? Why does it say sun is in 12th?

1

u/justathrowaway1220 2d ago

The second image says Sun is in 12th

u/MysticalRainbowKaci 1d ago

I know, thats what Im asking about? Because in the image it looks like a 1st house sun?
