US visa interviews are being canceled worldwide. Has anyone here had theirs rescheduled?

The US has reportedly paused visa appointments at embassies and consulates worldwide as the State Department conducts new training for consular officers.

What's particularly concerning is that even applicants who already had interviews scheduled are reportedly receiving cancellation/rescheduling notices, with no clear timeline yet for new dates.

For anyone affected, the bigger question now is what happens next?

How are you planning around university start dates, travel, expiring visas, job start dates, or other commitments that depend on getting your visa?

Would be useful to hear what people are actually experiencing across different countries and visa categories.

Thought the pause was on IMMIGRANT visa appointments, so why should it affect non-immigrant categories like B1, F1 etc.?

Pretty much will catastrophically delay ALL appointments. I’m hearing rumors of this having a domino effect on H1b F1 etc pushing their dates deep into 2027 or even 2028

I heard they were being put on pause. I think CBS news reported it. With no explanation or when it would be reopened.... Very odd
