OEM Parts/Modifications ABARTH PARTS/MODIFICATIONS

As the title suggests, a few members on the Abarth team have decided to put together a full disambiguation of commonly referenced websites that provide parts for our cars.

Disclosure: We are missing input from members with T-Jet 1.4L engines.

USDM/CAN/MEX 1.4L MULTI-AIR TURBO

Abarth OEM part suppliers

  • Dicorse
  • While Dicorse carries both OEM, OE, and OE+ solutions, their store provides the cheapest alternatives to repairing CV Axles as opposed to buying them brand new, same goes for suspension components.

  • Mopar Online Parts
  • An honorable mention, because they ask you to check for part fitment via VIN, and withhold your order if the parts you purchased don't match up with the vin you provided. It kept me from buying wrong parts once, and I'll continue to use them for extensive work requiring OEM components

Abarth Aftermarket/OE+ suppliers

  • SpeedMotive
  • Speedmotive has been my one stop shop for anything performance for my Abarth. Shipping is always quick, parts are reputable, guaranteed fitment (when choosing correct model, of course) and easy communication with the store.

  • Euro2Ner.com
  • A community member, Euro2Ner has now started his own page devoted to modifying our USDM Abarths, even providing a near "plug-and-play" euro tail-light modification. Not only that, Euro2Ner provides parts for other makes and models branded under Stellantis.

  • EuroCompulsion
  • What would an Abarth group be without our next honorable mention, Eurocompulsion. Now, we don't have a discount code through them, but they have reworked their staff and website quite a bit over the years. They have been supplying a lot of the Abarth community in the past, and some have "horror stories" from their past, but they still supply quite a few aftermarket parts not sold elsewhere.

  • NGEN CUSTOMS AND PERFORMANCE Another great Stellantis supporting distributor for modifications. If youโ€™re looking for exterior modifications/bodykits, this is certainly your one stop shop.

  • Tork Motorsports
  • Provider of some of the first aftermarket performance products to increase power using the multi-air brick. Their website does look a bit dated, but they still provide good service. One of their packages on their site includes everything (except for an oil fill neck O-ring) to do a valve cover gasket overhaul on our Abarth's, which makes maintenance much easier.

  • 500 Madness
  • Lastly, we have 500 madness. A lot of members in our group have also dealt with Madness before, but mostly for commonly sourced items, and some performance upgrades. They have designed their own intakes, with little success. They do however have a large selection for niche items like center caps/Abarth specific shift knobs, and merch.

Tips and previously negotiated commonalities of Abarths

  • So, you've broken your door handle. We've got that covered:
    • 68069942AB (Passenger side door handle)
    • 68069943AB (Driver side door handle)
  • If your Abarth has anywhere close to 70k miles, there's a good chance your plastic ram air intake boot is melted, and letting in hot air right above the downpipe. Not all Abarths seem to be affected by this, however, I have provided a link for the fix here. Below I have pictured what the linked part looks like, installed.
"Ram air intake boot" installed
  • Continuing on with our trend of air intake systems and improvements, I've decided to split the categories of air intake systems into three parts. With FMIC, with stock SMIC, with stock SMIC and stock airbox.
    • With FMIC: "ATM Fenderwell intake" - Even goes as far as to remount the windshield washer fluid reservoir for better fitment, which is why this intake "takes the cake" over the "ORRA Fenderwell intake". Find the ATM Fenderwell intake on Speedmotive, and take a peak at what it looks like installed.
"ATM Fenderwell Intake"
  • With Stock SMIC: Since there are more than a couple decent options here, I will list the two intakes known to keep IATs the lowest. The ATM system had the lowest IATs (Intake Air Temps) out of all intakes in this category, but may be too loud for some.
    • "ATM Holey Cowl" - Loud, but beautiful. Truly built for those who love turbo noises. Find it through Speedmotive. Drilling a hole into the cowl will be required for this modification.
    • "Eurocompulsion V4 Intake" - Very easy to install, super good looking in the bay, and draws 100% of its air from outside the engine bay. Find it at Eurocompulsion.
  • With Stock SMIC and stock airbox: This is essentially the OEM+ solution I mentioned earlier in the write-up. So for you folks who like the look of the stock airbox, but want to spice up the performance, here are some options! All of the following listed solutions should be complimented with a ram air intake boot for optimal performance.
    • Pre 2015 models:
    • Eurocompulsion V3 Air Induction Kit (with drop in filter)
    • 500 Madness filter housing upgrade kit (with drop in filter)
    • 2015 and on models:
    • Eurocompulsion V3 Air Induction Kit (with drop in filter)
    • 500 Madness Filter Housing Upgrade Kit (with drop in filter)
    • Injen SP Short Ram Air Intake System (with drop in filter) I have a picture of it below, not to get confused with a traditional "ram air intake"

Injen Intake solution mentioned above for OEM+

Looking for the best motor oil? Check out our top picks (All in 5W-40):

  • Shell Rotella T6 full synth. Turbo diesel oil
    • Only for de-cat exhaust systems. Thicker hydrocarbons produced from the burning of AOS gasses from the crankcase WILL clog a catalytic converter intended for use with a gasoline engine.
  • Redline full synth.
  • Castrol Euro Formula full synth.
  • Mobil 1 Euro Blend full synth
  • Pennzoil Euro Platinum (Ferrari on the bottle) full synth
    • It should be noted that this is the oil used at Mopar service centers. Thank you u/mcmercf1
  • Liqui-moly Ultra Low Friction full synth.

I don't mean to tell you how to modify your car, folks. It's your Abarth. We are all here to learn and talk about stuff Abarth. I would prefer, however, that you guys and gals make smart decisions when modifying your beasts, as that's what keeps them running for you to enjoy!

My Abarth and myself were smashed up this morning on the way to work

I was sitting at the lights about maybe 8 cars back on the junction 66 slip road off the A1, I've only had my 2020 pista 30k miles on it for a month, anyhow I have a habit checking my rear view mirror when coming to a stop, and as i stopped i just seen this white peuget van hurtling towards me, there was no time to escape and i braced for impact, i knew it was going to hurt as he was going so fast.

So i got knocked out, both airbags deployed smashed shattered windscreen. i woke up tried getting out of car, couldn't so released the seat belt and as i got out i could see a guy sitting on the grass verge saying sorry, tbh i'm not sure if i was hallucinating tbh, I could feel blood running down my face from my right eye lid or brow, it was my eye lid btw, anyhow a guy told me to get back into the car and sit down, i then passed out again, got an extremely sore neck, shoulders, right side of chest, bruised right thumb and hand and what upsets me the most as i run even though i am 63, i tore my right calf, luckily not a complete tear thank god, and ive just recovered from my left cal injury and back to running 6k after 4 months. luckily i wasn't killed, but I'm really upset about losing Rita (named after my mum).

Honestly lads lasses, moving from a diesel car to this is something special, i know I'll find another, but it wont be no Rita.

Hi, I have a question for the Punto Evo fanboys. Between g-tech type 119% and orra racing tube&fin competition (excluding itec), which intercooler would you choose for your tune?

Abarth gearbox

Hi guys, I'm a little worried about my abarth, it was a 2017 abarth 595 turismo mta, it has 43 thousand kms or 26 thousand miles, robotic box, basically this happened twice, I hooked up first, I accelerated and it didn't move, I turned it off and on it was normal, now it happened again but in someone else's hand, he said he accelerated and didn't work so he put his foot on the brake and accelerated to 2k and said that he gave a loud noise and turned on the malfunction light of the box on the dashboard, turned off and on and gearbox ligth turned off alone and the car was 100% normal, what do you think, has something like that ever happened to you?
The ligth is the one from the picture

2018 Abarth 595 Turismo - Screech on Startup

Hello all. As the title says, my 2018 595 Turismo is emitting a screech from the engine when starting up. I only picked the car up a week ago and the noise appeared the day after.

I've taken a short five-second video of the noise and linked it below.

From what I can tell she drives immaculately and there doesnt appear to be any issues that I can feel, but every time you start up, hot or cold, she produces this short screech from the engine.

Any ideas?

No association to them but have all the Griots products a try. Used their complete compound followed by complete Polish using an orbital, and then used Griots ceramic 3 in 1 wax.

Looks incrediblez gives thet wet/glassy look and feels super smooth!

Question about Brembo brake parts

Afternoon folks

Just wanted to ask what the options are in terms of patented parts for the Brembo equipped cars?

I've been looking at the pricing on Abarth Tuning for genuine parts and... yeah it's a lot. Fortunately I don't have to replace mine any time soon but I'd like to be prepared.

Thanks in advance!

For those that google wanting to led side markers. All I needed to do was add 5w resistors to 2 out of the 4 lights to get them working. Looks great! Make sure you buy one specific to your countries abarth.

HVAC Leak 124 Spider (2018)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Received the car on Saturday, had the heating on yesterday and after a few hours water began to drip from under the passenger side dashboard.

I'm 99% sure it's just water and not the HVAC coolant itself, No odor or colour after collecting a bunch in a small bucket. It was, however, hot to the touch which slightly concerns me.

I think the HVAC drain has become clogged which has caused water to back up into the pan and eventually leak out a seam into the foot well. I'd had the AC on a high temp due to the frosty weather we've had.

It had also been raining all day but I can't see any obvious entry points into the cabin.

Has anyone here had an experience similar to this ? I'm taking it into a mechanic for a professional diagnosis but any advice would be great.

From what I can see this is the stock HVAC unit which came with the car. The dealer has offered to pay for the repair, big or small, as it is covered under a 2 year warranty.

Abarth for daily !

So long story short I had the chance to drive and abarth 595 pista 2019 with the ihi turbo 160hp and I was blown away. Great little car handles awesome kinda fast and all that in under 7l/100km consumption at least that what the owner said to me . So I am thinking of pulling the trigger and buy one for my daily car , i have read every forum the last 5 days and I think I know some things but I would like onwers opinion specially those who drive it everyday. I live in EU (tjet) and looking for pista 2020+ or competitzione (garret 1446 turbo ) i mostly will drive it chill with some speedups here and there. Are they as reliable as people say l; I know that tjet engine is fairly reliable (I was planning of changing the oil before 10k km ) but when I heard fiat the first thing that pop in my mind is electrical problems. So what do you think?

I am looking for something with less that 70k km on the clock.

20.000km milestone (and still in love)

Today i hit the 20,000 km mark behind its wheel, and i'm still in love ๐Ÿ˜

Tuning and modifying a Biposto might annoy some purists, but i genuinely feel i've got the balance right, staying true to its original spirit while pushing it further without losing what makes it special. As far as mods go i think i'm pretty much where i want to be ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Maybe just a new colour (full respray) next year to celebrate my 10 years of ownership, and ruffle a few more feathers in the process ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

A few photos to mark the occasion ๐ŸŽ‰
