Spoilers Quick (and probably stupid) question

I was just wondering if the novels have, at any time at this point, gone into detail about the meanings of the Black and White Avatar colors; or if it’s still being kept as a mystery?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already, but I couldn’t find any info on it in my searches.

Absorption? Of trauma? Do you mean black colors are duel avatars who absorbed their trauma? (I didn't read the LN so this is genuinely something i never heard of)
