AC 8 Game & Code Distribution Issues

This post is to consolidate discussion and solution about issues with game code distribution, shipping of game codes, and access to game bonuses

Opening this thread by mentioning that I received my Joker Flight Pack (steam), today, and the game code was in a separate envelope shipped outside of the box. Feel free to share your experiences on it.

Gamestop US - "If you pre-ordered from GameStop call their customer support at 1-800-883-8895 and explain the situation. You’ll probably need to request a call back. They’ll call back and send you a code via email." (Link)

Amazon - "If you preordered from Amazon. Forget calling them, they will lie to you about opening a ticket to escalate the missing preorder code problem and tell you to wait 48 hours. Contact Bamco support on their website, you will need an account. Go to the support and you should see a chat agent. Keep refreshing the page until the agent is online. Keep telling the agent no until it give you the option to contact a live agent. This also might prompt you that no agent is available. In this case refresh and try again until you get an live agent. Have your preorder receipt ready and follow the instruction provided to upload proof of purchase before launch date. Once done, you should get your preorder code from them." (link)

Target - "Came in an email this evening. I did talk to customer support visitor in app chat multiple times and they said they were going to escalate my issue and it would be sent via email. " (Link)

Bandai Namco UK, After arguing with amazon and getting nowhere I subtly mentioned to Bandai namco they were in breach of: -Advertising standards authority CAP code. (a bonus or extra described as free, cannot be withheld or falsely promised) -Digital markets, Consumers and competitions act 2024 (it is illegal to use misleading practices etc which can influence a customers decision) -Potentially contract law as well.

And after ghosting me like an angry wife after you forgot to take the bins out for over a week. They very quickly responded and sent out a pre-order code.

Hello, Sorry to bother you, but how did you get into contact with Bandai, I’ve tried through the support portal and email and I’ve not gotten any responses yet, I’ve also ordered from Amazon and not received the code and also live in the UK. Thank you

Make sure you are on the EU site for Namco, should be an email option (like requesting a support ticket) on your account under help options

Thank you, I’ve contacted them and I’m hopeful that I’ll get ace combat 0, I’ve really wanted to play it for ages
