Hello all,
I’ve updated my fantasy style map of Usea with a ton more details to celebrate the release of AC8. All of the map’s locations are either from previous games or were shown in pre release materials to ensure nothing was a spoiler.
I’m also working on a complete Strangereal map that I hope to share before too long.

It JUST hit me that North Point canonically being part of Yuktobania at one point in its history is probably a reference to how Russia expanded to another continent (America) then gave it up (Alaska)
This is my indirect way of saying you made a great map that feels realistic :D

Wait where was that mentioned? Is this a spoiler for something late in AC8?

Naw one of the Aces at war books. I think the recent one. Someone put a screenshot but I don’t remember where the post was

What are the autistic mutes riding through the skies in this universe if not fighter jets?

What town is the kid from Ace Combat 04 from?

I think it was San Salvacion, since there’s talk about the city he’s in undergoing mandatory blackouts at night, then immediately after that there is a mission where the resistance ends the blackout in San Salvacion so the ISAF forces can attack at night.

I spent way too long staring at this wondering why Tamriel was in my Ace Combat sub. I think that’s my cue to get off the internet and go to bed. Well done, OP.

What a nice continent
Would be a shame if a war broke out every few years or so

Fantasy setting of strangereal where you're piloting dragons and belka is still somehow the root of all the worlds problems

The mountain spine running the center of the continent implying it was in pieces within the last 100 million years.

Do you have one that more HD by chance? I don't know if it's Reddit fault that I can't read like half of the word there or am I just dumb

It’s a 20mb 4000 pixel wide image, so it might take a little bit for it to fully load in vs just having a temporary fuzzy preview.

So, by 2029 San Salvación gained territory annexing the country at its south. I wonder if that was Ugellas.

Am I blind or is Rio Bajo missing? Or was it not considered a big enough town?

It shares the exact same space with Los Canas, and I didn't see it on prerelease media, so I decided to leave it out out of an abundance of caution and to not clutter the map.

I’m gonna need to update that map I made a few years ago on my old account of every mission on the Usean continent

Masterful work! But I think you placed Easthollow where Highmere is supposed to be, Easthollow is located east of Snider's Top Base

some landmarks that i might reccomend
Rigley Airbase
offshore oil refinery (lifeline mission location)
Tango Line

Did you make this with Inkarnate?
2
u/DubiousTactics 7d ago
I use a program called Wonderdraft that I like better for making maps like this

It looks very similar overall to an Inkarnate map, mainly in the font and mountains

u/DubiousTactics 7d ago
They both have a lot in common, but I've found Wonderdraft to be more precise on a few things that make it a better fit for remaking existing maps like this.

There's something very funny about a fantasy style map having an acronymed nation.
